Default This chafe's my a**

I just watched the 400 meter hurdles and the Dominican republic won . That's great, except the guy was born and raised and went to college in the USA . He chose to run for his parents native country? Fu*k you ! If you like it there so much move there. You were born here and went to school here ,through college and you don't represent your country? I'm sure if you lived and were born in the Dominican republic you would have a shit ton of chances to go to the Olympics and college and not just sell bananas on some street corner.. I could see if you were born somewhere else and then moved here maybe . Oh well ,end rant.

What about all the athletes that were born, raised, and educated in other countries, then came here to succeed in sports, and then are on the US Olympic team? Don't ask me to name them, but I'm sure they are there.

It's the Olympics, not like it's anything important.

Quoted for emphasis.

If these competitions or sports were important, we would care about them all the time, not just once every 4 years.

I admire the athleticism and dedication it takes to be of Olympic caliber. I enjoy watching it. Beyond that, I don't care.

I'm sure too that if she had went out there with some sort of kinky hair another group of people would have said she was just perpetuating decades old stereotypes that blacks have hair like Buckwheat.

Jesus you just can't win with some of these people... Those are the people, right along with rebel flag flying hill jacks, that keep all of the racism shit brewing.

It doesn't matter what color she is, what kind of hair she is sporting, or any of that. She is amazingly good at one of the toughest sports in the Olympics. Hell I don't think I could even stand on the balance beam let alone do back flips on it.

I'm glad to see she told them to pound sand. Good for her.

I love watching the Olympics. Not only do you see sports you rarely ever get to see, but you also get to see people that have taken it beyond the next level.

maybe the poor slob didn't have the right connections to make the u.s. team?!?!
therefore his only hope for olympic competition is on behalf of another country.
anyone who believes making the olympic team is based solely on athletic ability is smoking ganja.
this situation is similar to the children of illegals serving in the u.s. military but no one seems to raise an eyebrow at that one.

Because many also believe that should be one of the ways they can get citizenship instead of just being born here.. If a foreigner should love our country enough to serve and fight for the US military, then you've earn your right to stay.
