Default GM insider guys look here

I was driving down I-75 yesterday afternoon, and we were about 14 mile rd, when we were passed by something strange. The vehicle was every bit of a 2012 Corvette, and the rear of the car had the exact taillight styling of a 1953-54 Corvette, and had a liftgate glass rear window, roof was Dodge Magnum-esque, with the tailgate panel having chrome vertical strips like the Nomads of the 55-57 era. It appeared to be 2 door, 4 seat, but it went by so fast that I didn't have time to pull my camera out of my pocket to snap a picture.

Anyone in the know have a clue? Something they are going to offer, or someone bored with TV playing in their garage? It was cool as hell, not like the Corvette station wagon kits of the late 70's early 80's. Has anyone else seen it? It was silver in color, medium tint to the windows.

Dream cruise is in a few weeks. Lots of customs coming out in prep. Was this an m-plate?

I've saw one of those around the Rochester area lately. It kinda makes me want to vomit when I see it.

I believe they were a kit, I actually kind of like the shooting brake version. The other is absolutely hideous to me though.

Apparently this company bought licensing for 200 units from GM, but all the cars aren't complete yet. The wagon is a limited edition, there's only 5 so far. The standard coupe looks better, almost a ringer for the original.

I loved it... until I saw the rear end. Hideous.

One of my customers has one of these. Every time I see it I think, that is what happens when you have lots of money and terrible taste.
