When trucks look like that the First thing I do after crawling under it checking for loose parts is put both feet on the brake pedal and STOMP on it. If the stupid thing is going to blow a brake line I want it to do it in the yard, not trying to kill someone at an intersection.

That and why did you drive it home with no power steering. If there was no fluid in the pump I would be afraid a bearing would lock up rendering my serpentine set up (same belt that runs the water pump and alternator) useless.

my thoughts too. hell, my 12 year old kid wanted to ride his new bicycle inside the store before giving the go ahead that he wanted it.

The only situations I can see where someone might not drive a car they are buying is, if they know in fact ahead of time that it is not roadworthy, or if it's some super high end exotic car through some brokerage firm that is going to end up being cared for by their garage manager.

I want to make my point nice and clear, Learn from my stupid mistake. I looked past the obvious didn't test drive it and now I'm paying the price. That's all I am trying to get across, now everyone go and hug your neighbors dog who needs love too.

Monkeybiz you really have a boner over this don't you. I guess you can't read very well or you are trying to be a internet tuff guy. I was venting/complaining and for some reason you got it in your little brain that I want people to feel sorry for me. I feel sorry for you for having to use the internet to make your self feel good, must suck to live with kind of self-esteem issues.

I had a 96 (and a 2000)... had the brakes go out in a panic stop while towing my toyota. Those trucks just rust everywhere. Mine would be exactly like that, too, where it'd work when I parked it, and then it'd sit, and rust. I'd get in it, and the shift linkage would snap off. Fix that, drive to drive it, and the brake line blows in the front. Fix that, and the fuel line leaks.

They are fixed. I think 98 or 99 went to the quad cab with opening rear doors. My 96 were fixed, 00 was hinged.

Actually, I read quite well.. Well enough to see you were shooting for a e-raping, and it back fired on you. Just as it did on the other board that you posted it on.

There are a fair number if other people on this board that are quite sick, but you don't see them posting it all the time, and using it as an partial excuse when they screw up. That's what pisses me off. Hell, when Collin was around, shy of his ONE thread he started when he was first diagnosed, you never knew he was in the fight of his life. There is another guy who's little girl fights her disease like the champion she is, but you don't see him posting it as a reason he fucked up on something.
Then, it appeared, when people weren't lining up to burn the seller at the stake, screaming for his name to be outed, you posted the thread which attempts to call his character into question. Then you can't even admit you screwed up and backpedal and try to be a flip flopper. All those things combined make you despicable in my opinion.

I posted in the very first post I screwed up and only mentioned my injury because I didnt look the truck over right away. The only reason I posted the add was so people could see what was listed. I am in no way back pedaling, I was trying to make people aware that you can't take someones word. I fully admit from post 1 I made a mistake. I was never looking to "e-rape" anyone. Just wanted to point out what was listed and what I got and again I made the mistake of not looking it over. What part of that don't you understand?

Moral of the story = mideerslayer want to trade his pos for a like new truck and wanted no issues from it for 5 years or 100000 miles.

So we all learn from this. If your not a new car salesman don't sell trade buy or even let mideerslayer look at your car, truck, moped or lawnmower that you may have for sale.

It's been explained to you 40 different ways. Everybody else gets it besides you... We can't all be wrong, and you are be right. You are the blind one that can't see past yourself.

Mideerslayer, here's a nickles worth of free advice: Stop posting and go away for a day or two. Better yet, delete this thread (unless it's in the bin, didn't look). If you've been on this site more than two minutes, you know how vicious these guys can be. The bottom line: You fucked up when you did the trade and you fucked up again by making this thread. Take you spanking and move on. Defending your position will get you nowhere now.

Dude I agree with what everyone is saying I have said since post one I Screwed up and didn't look it over. It was my fault that I didn't look it over and took the sellers word. All I'm trying to get across is don't make the same mistake I did and not look things over no matter what is. Never take anyone's word on something like this. I think its very clear, I'm not looking or asking for anything but rather giving advise so no one goes thru the same mistake.

IMO, he is nothing but an attention whore. Good attention, bad attention, he doesn't fucking care. That's the only reason this thread is as long as it is. I'll make myself the asshole and say, I think that's why he is always posting about his health issues, to get sympathy attention. he posted this to get sympathy attention to show everybody how he got screwed SOOO BAAAAADDDD, to learn from him.

In all reality, he is a sad, sad man.

Edit: FWIW, I'm going to stop feeding this troll.. /OUT

Yes I'm a attention whore. You got me, I post on here to pass the time if don't like what I post don't read. You sir seem to have a issue with me and I don't know why. I know a lot of people come on here and try to be hard asses and people like you just feed into to boost your little ego. I have had great experiences with this site and have been able to post stuff that's on my mind but apparently if you post something and stand up to the assholes like you all of a sudden you are a bitch. Well me I say what's on my mind here there and in person. I don't need to hide behind a screen to boost my self esteem. I have enough will power to call it as I see it even if its not the "cool people way". So think what you want about me as I honestly don't care either way. I will sit down with anyone on here and have a beer and never once change the way I speak or think.

plenty of us have already mentioned where we can't really fathom buying, or taking a vehicle in on trade that we haven't driven based on faith.

the principle in fact is one my 12 year old gets. *shrug*

here's some similarly valuable advise:
don't pee into the wind
don't fart into the wind and then set the fart on fire
