I had one that was my mother in laws.
It was over 40k to buy but no one would buy it for 100$. So we donated it to try and help someone who did not have the cash to buy one.

the chair companies know that most people with them kind of issues have insurance. so they rape them on the prices. we had a 40k chair with another 25k in extra parts to make it work properly for my mother and her condition. we did not pay for it insurance did so luckily we were not at a loss

It's around $30k for a pacemaker and they last maybe 7 years. The older ones used to last around 10 or 11 years until the manufacturers figured out they could sell more of them with a battery that wears out quicker. It's going to be even more once the tax on them kicks in.

I can understand somethings being high priced. Especially parts going into the human body to fix or replace things broken.
However, not a motherfucking motorized wheel chair!!!!

You can buy them at auctions for $400 or $500

But with several layers of government bureaucracy being added to the review process for healthcare claims it will more than likely get worse before it gets any better.
