The way I see it is that flying is a privilege not a right. If you don't like the body scanners STOP flying. The TSA will continue to do what they see fit to protect the people. Free speech is one thing but have the common sense to realize that you are removing your clothes in front of someone's children.

in as much as I don't really want some tub of goo that buys their glitter thongs at walmart stripping in front of me or my kids - we in this country place way too weird of a standard on non-sexual nudity.

I agree. It is weird that we do this. It is just the human body. It is similar to the way we shelter everyone from the killing of animals tha we enjoy eating. Thats a whole other thread.

I see enough questionable standard of dress as it is. To see people naked would be no different. However, lets not test the theory...

In my 10 years at Bishop, I've seen 5 people get arrested for dropping their pants or lifting their shirts (women). It always ends in a citation and a fine. They've never won.

The same clientele that shop Walmart also fly out of Bishop.

I guess maybe since I've only flown a few times and have always had courteous experiences I don't see the issue with TSA.

One good thing about this ruling is that now Kate Upton, Sarah Underwood, and the like can remove their clothes as they fly about the country. (If I didn't have dreams I would never get out of bed in the morning.)

I haven't flown since the body scanners but in previous times I have had no hassles with TSA. Now when I went to Australia in 2008, I had a bomb dog over their interested in my hand since I had to pick up a little bit of the breakfast that I dropped and the smell lingered.

I just flew a few weeks ago. I had zero issues. You just do what they tell you and go through the line, it's pretty easy honestly. I had some woman pat me down even, who cares?

I have flown hundreds of time for work and i have never had one Tsa or any other airport employee be rude or hassle me. They deal with dumbasses all day and they get short with them. If you are polite and do what they ask they give you the same respect in return. Just do what they ask or don't fly, pretty simple.

Ive been flying between 50k-100k miles a year these last few and never had an issue with an agent. Stuff "missing" from checked bags yes.
And now that TSA pre check is becoming more accepted in even back to the old ways everything stays in the bag, shows stay and and walk through the metal detector. They most likely know when/where my first kiss was from the background check, but life became way easier lol

I haven't had any issues but I do think there needs to be some discretion with elderly and kids.

Elderly folk dont have to remove thier shoes. Same with young kids.
And, as old and cantankerous as some on this board profess you to be, I think you are too old to remove shoes still...

Every Time I fly I have a "secondary Inspection" due to a hip implant, I never get the X-ray scanner :-(
Most TSA agents are reasonable and don't want to rub my junk any more than I want them to so they are cool. Some on the other hand.....
