I thought I heard somewhere that the injectors are known to clog up if the motor sits for a while. I would check the fuel pressure and then check injectors.

Have heard of it. If it has pressure at the rail, but won't fire, check the plugs for raw fuel.

well i fingered it out. 1 my part and one rci part. those fawkers put the stickers on the rong ports. that was the 1st issue. i was getting zero pressure at the rail. so i said ehhhh why not check with a mirror on a stick and see if i have the right port on the cell. NOPE. they labeled it backwards.

sooo i flipped my lines. STILL NO PRESSURE OR FIRE. the only other thing i did was add a new fuel filter because the old one got smashed when i was full stuffing my new suspension. had no part # so i just winged it and got one that looked like it. so I pulled the fuel filter out. WALLA vroooommmm vroooommmm vroooommmmmm

pressure is showing 50psi. Its an external pump. but ran great before. hopefully its good to go. ill know saturday.

thanks for the help everyone

and fawk RCI!

Why was the filter no letting it build pressure?

Thats odd that it went from nothing to 50 by just removing the filter. You would have thought that it would build build some pressure even if the filter was too restrictive.

You sure you had it flowing the right direction for the filter?

It might fun 'fine' but 50 psi isn't correct for the motor. It'd be interesting to see if it leans out on the dyno at high rpms...

50-55 psi is correct is your regulator on the fuel rail and can you here it kicking in when you turn the fuel on?

i just went through all that nick. glad you have it figured out.i have had to clean my injectors twice now.if you get time it probobly wouldnt hurt to pull all the injectors and clean them.mine just had some crap on the top of them.careful putting them back in so you dont rip the little o ring.what i was told, you should have a pre filter and a after filter running the external pump also.

no, its not. 58 is spec, and most factory motors run 58-60.

well i went to da dunes. and only in WOT on a long run it would start popping threw the exhaust. i put gauge on and its at idle 48-50 psi. throttling it jumped to 52 but that was it. wondering if its leaning out at the higher rpms like hagger was saying. i dont want to blow up motor.

im running the RCI cell. ill put up a pic. you can see the fuel pump on the far frame rail. its about 3ft from the tank. im wondering if it being so far from the fuel pickup it could not flow the volume i need. anyone else have better luck moving pump closer?
