All the local dominoes closed around here, I don't even know where to get one.

I used to work for dominoes in college. I liked their pizza, that was a while ago

yeah, I haven't had Domino's in years either, maybe give them a try.

out of chain pizza's Jet's is my fav, I don't consider Buddy's a pizza chain since there is on'y a few around the whole Det. area,
but I do like Buddy's over Jet's, Louis over Buddy's, but that isn't chain anything with only 1 place.
I wish I could find good pizza like Louis and Buddy's out here in Waterford.

Dominoes is awful. Even after the revamp of their recipes and ingredients over the past couple of years.

As far as chains go, I'll take Jet's (which is now in Naples, FL too so I can get it when I visit the in-laws) or Papa Romanos over Dominoes any day. Hungry Howie's is pretty good too, especially their calorie-laden subs.

My favorite though is Buddy's, especially since I can walk to one from my house and do so about once a week. There's another great place for carry out if you are in the Birmingham area - Primo's Pizza on Adams just north of Lincoln.

If you want a good lunchtime pizza buffet, there's a place at 14 Mile and Middlebelt in Farmington Hills called Tomatoes Apizza that for $6 is outstanding if you like the thinner, "New Haven" style of pizza. If you go anytime between about 11:45 a.m. and 12:30 p.m., be prepared for possible lines out the door though.

Louie's is great too. I love that style of pizza.

The best pizza I've had in Waterford (I work out there) is at the Lion's Den on M59 just north of Pontiac Lake Road. They advertise that they serve Alibi Pizza, which is the name of an awesome place on Rochester Road in Troy. I would often drive past the Lion's Den and wonder if it really was as good as the actual Alibi so decided to pick up a pie to take home for dinner. Both my wife and I agreed that it was just as good.

My wife used to be that way, but she's gotten over it.

As far as "chains", I like G's in West Branch/Tawas...

however my list goes:
1- jets pizza
2- B.C. pizza
3- spicy bobs

I disagree. I think people would rather sacrifice time and health for a fast "ok tasting" food. Same reason McDonalds/Burger King do so well. Their product doesn't taste better than a real fresh grilled burger from a restaurant, but people would rather sacrifice time and health for money.

I worked for Dominos in the mid 80's and had an interaction with Tom Monaghan when he came to our store. Turns out, he is a complete and utter douchnozzle. I wouldn't patronize a Dominos for a long time after that.

As much as I don't like Dominoes, I like pizza so much that I'd gladly take a pizza from there than no pizza at all. I cannot say the same for Pizza Hut.

In our house, whenever I make a bet with my wife, if I lose, I have to bring home a Pizza Hut pizza for dinner. For some reason, it's her absolute favorite. Thankfully there isn't really one close to us or else she'd probably want it for dinner more often.

Pizza Hut fired an employee for defending himself from a perp while on the job with a gun, even though he was a CPL holder. So, for me, I won't ever eat there again.

In college our 7 person ghetto house was right next door to a Domino's. I haven't had Domino's in 20 years....

There was many a night that our poor drunk ass's waited by the dumpster when they closed for "left overs"

Just seeing a domino's box makes me a little queasy...

Old news from years ago.
A quick google search shows several forum discussions but I haven't found the actual news story yet. Probably won't waste the time looking.
