Members of Michigan-based motorcycle gang indicted on charges of running 'violent criminal enterprise'
3:24 PM, July 13, 2012 | Comments

The federal government says it has busted a massive criminal enterprise known as the Devils Diciples Motorcycle Gang, arresting its top two leaders along with 39 gang members wanted for numerous crimes, including murder, drug trafficking and robbery.

Among the 41 charged are the group’s national president, Jeff Garvin Smith, and national vice president Paul Anthony Darrah, according to an indictment unsealed today in U.S. District Court in Detroit.

“For years, according to the indictment, the Devils Diciples (sic) have spread fear in cities throughout Michigan and around the country,” said Assistant Attorney General Lanny Breuer. “This violent criminal enterprise allegedly profits from drug trafficking and illegal gambling, and uses intimidation and violence to silence its adversaries and maintain control over its members.”

According to the indictment, the Devils Diciples had its national headquarters in Clinton Township, but operated chapters in several states, including Alabama, Arizona, California, Illinois, Indiana, Ohio and elsewhere. The group made money through numerous criminal activities, including drug trafficking, selling stolen motorcycles, gambling, robbery and running methamphetamine labs, according to the indictment.

To become a member of the group, per the indictment, one has to complete a probationary period, followed by formal approval by other members. Members are required to own Harley Davidson motorcycles and follow orders from leadership -- including threatening or intimidating others when asked, or lying to the police. Full-fledged members also get a club name or nickname to throw off law enforcement.

For example, among those arrested were Magoo, Fat Dog, Polar Bear, Cookie and Buckwheat, per the indictment.

Members also have to attend regular meetings, which the group referred to as “church.”

“Removing violent criminal organizations from our community is essential to attaining the quality of life we expect and deserve,” said U.S. Attorney Barbara McQuade. “Federal law enforcement is using all legal tools available to prosecute violent criminal enterprises like this one.”

According to McQuade’s office, 31 defendants were arrested today in Michigan and Alabama. Five defendants were previously in custody. More than 60 firearms and more than 6,000 rounds of ammunition also were seized during the investigation, and eight meth labs were dismantled.

The indictment alleges that Devils Diciples committed several crimes to maintain its territory and hide from the authorities. Among those crimes were attempted murder, robbery, extortion, assault and threats of violence, per the indictment.

Specifically, the indictment alleges that in August 2003, Vincent John Witort and multiple other Devils Diciples members robbed, kidnapped and attempted to murder other members of the Arizona Chapter for violating Devils Diciples rules.

More than 60 firearms and more than 6,000 rounds of ammunition were seized during the investigation, and eight methamphetamine labs were dismantled, authorities said.

The case was investigated by several agencies, including the FBI, the Michigan State Police, and the Macomb and St. Clair County sheriff’s offices.

What would make them so sensitive to insult, fragile egos? Could that explain their need for everyday criminal biker liv2mxbadassdouchbaggery?

Don't forget about the leather jackets with all the merit patches. They have the same power as ricer stickers. Lol

Seriously though, I do service work for some businesses that a local club owns, and the guys I know have all been to prison for some organized crime type shit. It was wild being at a fundraiser and watching these guys do the mob hug with important and popular law men.

The ability to throw a punch after being called a pussy doesn't mean your a bad ass. It means you have no regard for others. Having no regard for others doesn't make you a bad ass, it makes you stupid.

I have no problem calling someone a pussy if I think they deserved it, and I've no problem being punched for being a douchebag who calls people a pussy.

Motorcycle gangs who have members who wear 'tough' clothing and walk with swagger are nothing to me.

These idiots deserved it for running illegal stuff. The most basic tenant of human life is if you do bad stuff, you will pay for it.

Most of the "Billy Badass Bikers" I know are really respectful and would probably laugh at you if you walked up to them and called them a pussy. Now if you talked shit to one of there Lady Friends... Watch out.

Not all are obvious. Some look like plain old houses. Minus the dozen or so bikes parked out front
