Default Thought's on the SOS rule change on street legal ORV's

Just wondering what everyone thinks, and if they think it will/can be reversed. I'm guessing the manufacturers are developing a street legal option and want to corner the market so they pushed for this.

Also, does this make mine worth way more money and "pre" ban?

Not surprising, I am actually surprised it took this long for them to do it. I heard street legal UTVs rape babies and murder children.

Why do you really need to drive it on the road for? Guess I'm on the fence with this one. I can drive my utv on the side of the road up north, I'm fine with that.

You can drive it on County roads but not State roads. In the case of my place outside of Harrison, both main roads are State roads. So, I can't drive it to the hardware or grocery store.

Next, I plow several neighbors driveways. Technically I can't any more even though we live on gravel roads. I hop in the Rhino to buzz over to my buddies house a mile away. Now I can't.

To the OP question, I'm still trying to find out if I will be able to renew my plate. I'm guessing those that kept a SXS title won't be able to but because I have a new title and VIN, I'm hoping I can.

So am I missing somthing here? Where I'm at you're allowed to drive on the shoulder this is what one of the local cops told me. As long as I have a current orv sticker I'm fine as long as I stay on the shoulder.

State law allows a county to decide if it will allow ORVs on the shoulder of county owned roads. Nothing allows MDOT to allow the same if I understand correctly. So, all M-numbered roads are off limits.

That would make sense then since I'm off a county road.

I'll try and find the other paper I have that says that we (assembled title vehicles) can transfer title and renew or get a plate if recently bought. As of now we are "grandfathered".

Correct. That's been an issue before this came about. I'm not a military vehicle but myself, but I know there is certain one that condo and ones that couldn't, and it had to be done a special way. Same goes with the big trucks.
