D-bag attention whores with small penises. The same d-bag small penis attention whores who will eventually cause more laws to govern weapon rights.

there's always some dbag making comments like this... why even bother to post? be happy they are pro gun and pro firearm safety!

while I prefer CC over OC, that is my choice, as it is yours. OC is their choice. i'm just glad there's another responsible gun owner out there who might protect someone I love some day.

Why are you posting this in the firearms for sale forum?

I agree for the most part that open carriers are douchebags.

You're missing the point. Nobody is trying to say they shouldn't be allowed. What the argument is is open carry is dumb. It puts the person carrying at a tactical disadvantage and it makes the general gun fearing public very uneasy. The very sight of a gun scares many people and makes them think you are a murderer. How many of those people do you think it will take before a law is passed that prohibits open carry, and puts more regulations on weapons carry in general?

Then there is the argument about the open carry tool bags who carry an assault weapon up the street as if they are doing a patrol in a war zone. Yeah, that surely makes the general public more comfortable and will do a bunch for your cause, right?

I think its safe to say most on this website are very pro gun, but many are very much against some small penis douchers who think they are badass showing off their guns that will likely end up causing more harm than good to the cause.

Regarding your comment about someone "robbing or messing with" Hancho; do you really believe a open carry person will save the day? Don't you think the guy doing the "robbing or messing with" will look around and the first person they will go for is the dummy with the gun showing. It's eliminating the biggest threat first, and the poor soul open carrying likely won't see it coming. Concealed carry, on the other hand, offers the element of surprise and now the person "robbing or messing with" is at the disadvantage.

Well said. Fully agree with the right to carry, but the assault rifle in downtown like you are on patrol screams "Look at me, I am a dumbass".

And am in full agreement that the person who is desperate enough to rob a place is most likely not going to be deterred by an open carry. Most likely just shoot sooner.

I support your right to bear arms. I don't support you losing more of my rights by stupidity.

Where on earth do you guys live? The people that open carry around where Im at aren't d-bags or looking for attention. Most of them being EMT's, firefighters, or someone open carrying for protection and exercising their rights. Sadly the general public has been brain-washed into being afraid when someone open carries or guns in general. Not so many years ago open carry was publicly acceptable and people didn't have such an issue with weapons. Yes I agree an assult rifle, shotgun, ect is not needed and stupid but as to carrying a pistol I see no issue. Generally the only d-bags you end up with is the cops that have no idea what open carry is, then going through the process of being cuffed, weapon taken, and waiting for the Captain to show up, then the officer making himself look like a retard as he tries to let the captain know you were open carrying which doesnt exist and the Captain tells them to let us go and give your weapon back as open carry is real and if he ever gets woken up at midnight again for this the officer will be scrubbing toilets for the rest of his career. Anyways, Im not seeing a big problem here, I don't see anyone freaking out in the grocery store over a guy who has a pocket knife clipped on the side of his pants when the kill zone of a knife is considered to be 10 feet.........
Regardless, perhaps you guys should take your pissing match somewhere else instead of hijacking someones thread and bickering.

Well at least I can spell, and along with that ability I also have disposable income that allows me to spend some of my money on the finer things in life that most people cannot afford such as gold chains and expensive wrist watches. It’s called class and taste. Open carry lacks class. And do you think someone is really going to mess with someone if they have class? How many times has this guy been robbed? I bet none!! Why? Because he has class and carries himself as such. He doesn't need to open carry.

I wouldn't be surprised if most of the the anti OC crowd would also try to ban lifted vehicles, ban All Terrain tires on paved roads, ban all motor vehicles from leaving paved roads, require all vehicle to have permanent roofs and doors, etc. You may as well complain about girls wearing tight jeans, I'm sure somebody's got a problem with that too.

Good morning gun shit storm!

Hand gun open carry: Good
Large weapon open carry: Dumb
People honestly wearing a weapon for protection: Acceptable
People wearing a weapon as a badge of honor/fashion accessory: Dumb

The people I've met who carry and have some professional high risk job didn't seem too bad but they are far out numbered by OC people that seemed to have some "issues".

Exactly. Many of those that do open carry aren't the problem. However, it's very common at these gatherings to have some douchers that push their luck.

Then there is the issue with the post above about "dumb cops." Sure, their are some that are ignorant to the right to open carry. However, they have a job to do to protect all of society and when something is out of the ordinary they have a duty to react and find out what the hell is going on. Does that bother some of those that are open carrying? Most likely, but isn't that what they are out doing in the first place? Aren't they trying to spread awareness? Why make it a them against you battle? Why try to make the police look bad? Remember that most cops are very pro gun themselves, but are also bound to protect everyone and like it or not, but a group of jackwagons strolling around with long guns doesn't exactly stir images of comfort and safety to anyone.

Lastly, the argument about trying to desensitize the public to the sight of a gun is a waste at best and a complete lie at worst. Those that don't like guns don't care about what they look like. They just don't like them around. Period. Seeing them, and seeing people carrying them won't change their minds. In their minds, guns are the root of evil. They are what badguys use to commit crimes, and therefore shouldn't be in society at all. They know most people aren't using them to shoot others, but they also think that if we all turned our guns in then the bad guys wouldn't have them to use on us, so in effect we are just perpetuating the problem by possessing them in the first place.
