Default largest natural disaster in America ever

The United States Department of Agriculture has declared natural disaster areas in more than 1,000 counties and 26 drought-stricken states, making it the largest natural disaster in America ever.

The declaration—which covers roughly half of the country—gives farmers and ranchers devastated by drought access to federal aid, including low-interest emergency loans.

"Agriculture remains a bright spot in our nation's economy," U.S. Agriculture Secretary Tom Vilsack said Wednesday while announcing the assistance program. "We need to be cognizant of the fact that drought and weather conditions have severely impacted farmers around the country."

Not to take away from the loss farmers are exsperiencing, but the obama machine is the biggest natural disaster this country has ever faced. The crop damage is a drop in the bucket compared to what this asshole wastes.

My guess is that a bunch of farmers who lost little will get huge loans with no way or intention to pay them back costing our country more loss. The hardworking farmer who is in danger of losing everything will somehow not qualify and end up screwed.

For those of you that don't know what I am showing above ^^^

Is a 25% increase in crop commodity year over year, already

The drought / demand cost pricing has not yet set in folks.

Food prices will sky rocket from this event.

Corn was running 5.30+-

Soys were 11.75+-

last year

I agree the food prices are going to jump like gas prices do,and this is the cheapest you will ever see produce in this country again. And of course a lot of smaller farmers wont be able to stay in businness, which will cause the prices to grow even more because of supply and demand.

I see the typical dismissive mentality here and the joking that I usually participate in.

However, I think all of you should take this seriously.

Thats because the government pays for your food and they will pay for it after the price increase too.

I feel bad for the farmers.

I agree but starving people will not act rationally, although they were not rational to begin with.

Big deal...I lost the last ounce of hope for those people when two days ago I saw some shitbags buying sports drink, bottled water, juice on the good ole bridge card and pay cash for their worms and snack sausages. I guess they were going to get thristy while out fishing instead of looking for a job...worthless fucks
