I traded some mechanical work for most of the big beams and found a few old barns to get the rest of the old wood so that was more or less "free". The new wood, screws, lag bolts, caulk, grout, cement board, tile, and electrical I think I'm around $400-500 ish. I didn't want to keep track.

I am not sure if that would be needed or not to be to code but either way those bricks should have a solid compact base underneath them, and all the posts are on top of those so I am sure it will be fine.

I'm no construction expert either:) I don't think they will sink and I'm hoping it is heavy enough it won't lift. To get by will no permit to build it I had to make it a " moveable structure".

I want to make bar stools with old metal tractor seats for the seat and a disc for the base with a trailer hub between so they swivel. Reward for tractor seats!

If the roof is tall enough I'd suggest an outdoor suitable ceiling fan. With a tin roof and patio block bottom, its going to get hot in there.

Tell the missus that if she doesn't help build, she has to tend bar.

It does look nice.

Basic carpentry is a piece of cake. I've been doing tons of metalwork and fabrication for 5 or 6 years, then started some carpentry when I got my house and it's sooooo much easier than the metal stuff. Depends what you're building I guess. Detail work, cabinetry, molding, etc is gonna be a lot more tedious than shelves, benches, and bars.
