Battle Creek Air Show

Anyone planning on heading out to the Battle Creek Air Show this weekend? Starts today and goes until Sunday.

I saw the Blue Angels at the Selfridge air show a couple years ago and they were pretty cool. This is my first time seeing the Thunderbirds so I will have to wait to make a decision, bu I am partial to the Navy so my opinion may be slightly biased, as well as Jeepinmichguy now being a part of them. It has been pretty cool though to see all the behind the scenes stuff that they do to get the planes ready and all of the ground crew they have.

The Thunderbirds improved their show last year. I saw them in Texas last fall (previously saw them at Battle Creek a few years ago). The Blue Angles put on a good show too, but the power of the F-16 Fight Falcon is much more fun to watch than the F-18 Super Hornet!

Defiantly worth the price of admission!

My Home Town is about a 1/2 hour North of BC and as a kid we went to the air show every year. This weekend will be the first time I have been back at the air show in at least 10 years, I hope it is everything I remember, or at least everything I have told my wife it is. We are planning on catching the air show, hitting the beach at Grandma's house on Goguac, Fire Works at the air show, and the lighted boat parade at Grandpa's house on Beadle Lake, will cap off our long weekend trip back home with a 4TH of July drive back across the state for work on Thursday.
