Default School me. D60 brakes.

I tried to find stuff, but don't really see anything like I have. D60 with no rear brakes. 5 on 5.5 bolt pattern. Has rotors but not sure from what. Got some Chevy 3/4 ton calipers and it looks like it may work. I just hate to order stuff to return it.

This shows the axle end. N/m picture won't load. Anyhow it looks like a normal axle shaft with no seperate hub, like its not a floater any more. My question is has anybody ran this and what brakes did you use?

There are semi float D60's out there. Did you ask the guy you bought it from if he knew anything about the brakes? Got a link to the sale thread if there was one?

I did scrape the gunk off the tube and found 12 19 7A2 for a build date and 60291 where the BOM is supposed to be. Not sure if there is more to that because there are some grinder marks there. I will try to look that stuff up later tonight. FWIW the front axle is a 44 with the same lug pattern and Ford calipers/knuckles/radius arms.

They are round and 6 bolt. There is also the obvious 60-2 cast into the top of the gear housing.

I don't have it here to check for casting on top. This has 4 bolts on the flange.
