Its the worst of surfing, kayaking and standing combined in one activity.

Paddle boards look dumb to me. I sit in my Adirondack chair sipping a nice summer drink when people struggle past my dock on them. I figure I'm way ahead of the game at that moment.

My wife loves hers. I haven't used it much so I can't really give an opinion. I'm going to try to fish from one this weekend, so we'll see how that goes....

Talk to me....I can connect you with some local people, you can go out on my board or rent one from some folks. I'm sure you've seen my facebook - there's a SUP fest July 28 @ Kensington. I'll be racing one of the races and there's going to be a lot going on there that day.

I grew up on a lake, skiing and wakeboarding (duh, wakebabe), moved to the concrete jungle, didn't want to/couldn't buy a wakeboard boat, didn't always have 3 friends who could/would want to to skiing/wakeboarding, didn't always have nice flat water for it, didn't always have fuel $$ to go...so got a paddleboard, now I've enjoyed more water/lakes in the last month than I have enjoyed in the last few years....I flippin' love it. It's challenging to race, it's challenging to do any yoga, pilates, work outs on it. It's also rather peaceful and I get to enjoy our beautiful summer we're having.

I think you're just crabby because I have something to float on that doesn't have a broken motor :p haha

I can sit, stand, lay, as well, on my board and sipping any sort of nice summer drink.

Where is your dock...I'll come crash your adirondack chair party.

Your kind aren't welcome there.

It's in a 55+ community and it's a no sports lake.

Not so fast sonny. Any time you want to come challenge this 55'r on the slalom course or do a barefoot run, you just give me a call.

hahahah..... you can bring it if you want. I grew up on a lake. Started skiing at 6, slalom at 7, 9 years competitive show skiing, skied the slalom course 2-3 days a week up till a couple years ago, barefooted twice a week for years, skied a 26 mile endurance relay barefoot race (came in dead last ) was the first and only boat driver to my knowledge to pull a prebuilt pyramid AND then pick up another on a hot pickup, still ride a standup jet ski weekly, and have generally been on the water all my life. So, take your best shots.

In the mean time, you and Bones want to stop by, the drinks are on me.

Let me guess... you also had to walk uphill both ways to school barefoot in the snow?
