***SOLD*** 1987 YJ 4.3, 700R4 For Sale $4,000
Posting this for my dad. He wants to sell his YJ. Before he owned it my buddy owned it so it's been in my life in some way since 91 so history questions are fine if you have something specific. He just doesn't drive it anymore and it's really just sitting around so time for it to go.
There isn't really anything wrong with this 25 year old YJ. Starts and runs, drives, all gauges, lights, radio etc work. Great little jeep and gets good gas mileage as he used to take it up north after we put the 4.3 in it. there are some minor rust in the usual YJ spots but it's been garaged kept for the most part of the 20 years I've been around it. It starts runs, drives, stops, etc.
The front diff vent hose keeps popping off. needs a new barb threaded in there.
Because it has been sitting the rear brakes could be gone through. pedal is a bit soft for my liking but it does stop safely.
I would also run new vent hosing and rollover vent tubing from the fuel tank. it's getting pretty gellied and would be a cheap and easy fix.
Thermostat likes to stick again because of use but tap it and it works.
I flushed the heater core a few years ago but he didn't want be to replace it. it blows warm but not hot. I personally would replace the core.

I'll lower the price $4,000 obo cause there is maybe 6k on the motor trans and case.

good looking jeep. glws. I am curious though, what kind of intake manifold is that? I,m looking for one for the 4.3 that's going in my jeep. The factory manifold I have is quite tall because of the EGR system.
