Long story short. I lost all my "in the begining pics" so guess I'll start in its more current form. Its a 99 xj, have had it about 7 years, currently with 165k on it.
Nothing special 4.5 lift and some 33s.

After a trip to Bundy. More trimming was noted and done.
Also had to change the CPS and now the fuel pump. Figured I would go for the cheaper of the two issues.

Ok the last trip to Rocks and Valleys netted some minor damage along with some obvious needed maintainance. Now I know a dropped crossmember is frowned upon but for the last six years it did the job. However it proved to be a low spot and needs to be replaced. The pic was taken after I beat it back to a better allignment, (to get home).
So two options. The obvious one is an SYE and sfaft. However I have a budget and a list of fixes and it alone will tap it out. The other option is a beefier crossmember. I have been looking at the Rustys "drop" crossmember and it fits the budget. Has anyone used one or currently doing so? Any input ?

The sad part is that the crossmember looks so much better in that picture than it did before the camp site fix.

Got a chance to tear into 9" . A good cleaning, some grinding, new parts, spool and gears and will make a good start to running 37s.
Also recieved a gift( the sign) from one of Jodie's co workers. Think she braggs or complains about my obsession.
