Default Gitchee Gumee Revisited

Actually I would call it more of an exploration run than an actual event.
I'm tossing the idea out there to see if there is any interest.
Probably planning the last weekend in September. Which may be the busiest because of 'other groups', but it doesn't get into bear season for that area.
I'll check into that more as the date gets closer.
Will stay @ Blueberry from 26nd to the 30th. But wheel on the 28 to 30th, but if someone is there when we are there, we will wheel!
My runs will consist of exploring some of the lesser travelled trails we used to know of and see what new logging / skidder trails have been put in recently.
Much of that stuff is up by Batchawana River and Chippewa River and the trails leading into the bush.
No overnight runs are planned at this time. This is a just a relaxing exploration run.
If you're interested please post up.

Sounds like a good idea. I know we can't make a full week but might make it for 3 or 4 days. I'll check with the boss.

For me, I would be good with exploration and barely touching 4wd.

Primary weekend will be 28-30. I'll be there most likely mid-week like we always used to.

I've got a map from a few years back that which tells you what type of fish are in each one of the lakes and I believe the rivers.
It's certainly not a substitute for on-the-ground-knowledge but it might give you an idea what would be in each lake.
Here's a snip from the map. I'll see if there is a source for it. It's called The Algoma and Northshore Forests. A few of us got them about 6 years back at the Trading Post north of the Sault

Here's a lilnk to the map publisher. Not sure if they are in print anymore.
Go to the MAPS page and the retailers are shown.

Depends on whether I'm back from my Alaska trip by then, and some other dates, but I'll try to make it if I can.

I know it sucks to say that fall colors are just around the corner but.........it's a little less than 8 weeks away.
If you're interested in coming up be sure to call and reserve your room or secure your campsite.
We'll be @ Blueberry as always. Call Diane and get your reservation in.

I want to do this too, but this fall probably isn't going to work.
