Default **GONE/TRADED** 2002 KTM 400 EXC dirt or supermoto $2500+ **GONE/TRADED**

BIKE IS GONE. TRADED. THANKS GL4x4

EDIT: PRICE LOWERED TO $3200 for the whole thing. That's a $2500 SuperMoto kit, $250 in spares... and basically a free KTM!

I am selling a 2002 KTM 400 EXC. The bike is currently set up as a SuperMoto. I bought it to commute to work on and maybe play with... but I have decided that I am more of a streetbike guy

First things first... I bought the bike from a really nice guy who was super meticulous about the bike. He owned it for 8 years. I rode it 4 times and it developed an oil leak. It's leaking from the top of the crank case cover. Basically it just needs a new case cover gasket, which I may have in the pile of parts that I go with it. I'm ridiculously busy (work 6 days a week, watch my 18 month old son during the day and work afternoons). I have NO time to get to this. You can come and see the bike, you can start it and hear it run. You can ride it if you put money in my hands first (drop it, you bought it). It still runs fine, just leaks. If a miracle happens, and I get a free weekend, I will fix it and my price will go up.

OK, now on to the rest.

if you want the bike in DIRT trim, with knobbies and bark busters and all that jazz... it's for sale for $2500. If you buy it as a dirtbike, I will include a box o' spares that includes a couple of fenders, a couple of seats, gaskets, spare oil filter or two, and an extra, larger tank.

If you want the SuperMoto setup included, it's $3500. The SuperMoto set is beeeeeautiful. It was ordered directly from KTM North America and was over $2500. It includes a set of 17" wheels, sportbike tires (good tread, probably 75% life), and a very sexy front brake setup that retails for almost $1500 by itself (rotor, caliper, master cyliner, braided line, lever, etc). Obviously if you buy this setup, you get everything listed above, including the dirtbike spares.

I should also mention that I do have the title, clean and clear and it is currently titled for the street. If you want to ride it on the street, you can! It has lights, horn, signals, etc. They aren't the best, but they get you past the cops.

This bike DOES have electric start, but the battery is small. If it sits for more than a day or two, you have to kick start it. I normally just leave it on the battery tender (included!) and it starts fine off the tender.

I am open to some trades, including:
fuel injected crotch rockets... 600s preferred. CBR600F4i, GSXR-600, etc...
1970s Honda CB 360/550/750 in good shape + cash on your end. Something that starts, runs and is reliable, not rusted out with dry rotted tires or anything like that.
A nice, older liter bike like a GSXR-1100 or ZX-11

Here's the pics:

I am also considering selling just the SM setup. It's easily a $2500 setup including the tires, wheels, front brake, sprockets, headlight, taillight, signals, etc. I will sell the SM stuff for $1500obo. Reasonable offers considered, but I've already turned down $1000 cash for the setup. Gotta do better than that.

Willing to consider some firearm trades... AR-15s, AK-47/74s, 3rd gen or new Glocks, M&Ps, 1911s, (no .40cal for handguns, too many calibers already) and of course, ammo for the previously listed.

Thanks

Nice, but I have no cash to throw at the deal. Kiddo #2 on the way and buying a house this month... just can't spend right now.

I really am looking for another bike. I've already got a 91 4Runner for my 4x4 toy and not enough garage space as is...
