Barnes falsely claimed Pelosi "is the most unpopular national politician in America"

In Fred Barnes' latest column, he reports that Nancy Pelosi is the most unpopular national politician in our United States. Who knows, maybe it's true, he just seemed to ignore the polls showing that, actually, George Bush Jr., Dick Cheney, Donald Rumsfeld, Senate Majority Leader, Bill Frist and Speaker of the House, Dennis Hastert are far more unpopular than Ms. Pelosi.

It's weird how he would leave that out...hmm.

Because you probably would sleep with Hillary Clinton or Jennifer "Moles" Granholm if you had the chance.

The "Fox News" symbol on the bottom left hand side of the screen explains it all.

for someone who claims to be a "free thinker" and a "Moderate labeled as Lib" you seem awfully one sided.

I've yet to see a statistically solid political poll.

They're all crap.

Nancy Pelosi is a very polarizing individual, like Hillary Clinton. Many people either like 'em or hate 'em - not mcuh room in the middle.

Dubya's not very popular right now. Crappy economy, lingering war, relentless 24 x 7 full-court press by liberal mainstream media...

I'm beginning to beleive the pundit who stated that we need to start looking at a 2-year term for President. We don't have the collective attention span to be happy with anybody for much longer than that. Virtually nobody can withstand the torrent of information (and misinformation) available today.

In my lifetime, we've gone from a press that actively colluded and covered for a presidential candidate's philandering on the campaign trail (JFK) to one where a TV network (arguabley knowingly) airs weak, fabricted stories in an attempt to slander a sitting president (Dubya).

The times, they have changed.

yeah, i was talking about this last night with a girl i have been seeing. I definitely probably will not ever agree with the republican party enough to ever be republican. Some liberal stuff goes a little overboard, but I definitely side with them, they seem, to me, to be the more common sense party, and the less overbearing party. So i think I am a member of the green party, but I cannot vote for somebody who I know cannot win.

Besides, if I posted up a bunch of anti-dem stuff, you guys would agree, and seriously what fun is that?

Also, if you can find somewhere where i claimed to be a "free thinker", please show me. There you go again, confusing me with somebody else.

Replace "republican" with "democratic", and "liberal" with "conservitive" in your statement above, and thats pretty much how I feel.

And I agree, I have purposly picked unpopular viewpoints just for the sake of argument before.

And my comment was poorly worded. I meant to direct the "free thinker" part at cmujeeper but got distracted and messed it up.

I figure we both must be "free thinkers" since we disagree on just about every topic.

I don't know nationwide how popular she is, but it looks like her own party isn't too happy with the idea of her being speaker. That is IF the Dem's take the house.

p.s. TV news is not real news, it's ratings driven entertainment. Step away from the talking heads.

Fact's speak louder than words. Here's Granholm's numbers......

May 2005....

http://www.surveyusa.com/50governorsrated051005.htm

approval rating, 36% 44th place.

Oct 2006

approval rating 39% still 44th.

http://www.surveyusa.com/50State2006...19Approval.htm

I'd call that unpopular.

To be fair here is Hilary's numbers.

approval 63% 15th.

I'd call that popular. (At least in New York.)

It's fun to note then, Granholm is more popular than our president.

AND that our nation's economy is improving while Michigan's is going in the tank, and projected to get even worse for at least the next year.
