Default Conquering Sand Piles at Silver Lake Sand Dunes (WARNING: Pictures Galore)

Well a few of us are transferring out of lovely Detroit this summer with the Coast Guard and as a final farewell we did one last Silver Lake Sand Dunes trip. There were six of us total and everyone was on quads except me (and my co-worker/buddy who brought his quad, but also had fun in his 07 lifted Avalanche which is no street queen mind you). I won't lie, I (and my buddy with the Avalanche) enjoyed myself more in 2wd with the rear locker engaged than I did with 4wd with either one or both lockers engaged. Pictures are as followed...

[Sarcasmn] I love all the pictures of you spinning your wheels. Give the tree huggers one more thing to bitch about, make more ruts and get the dunes closed down. That sand isn't going to fill itsself in. [/sarcasmn]

Knock it off. That's a bullshit statement. Anyone doing any research of any dunes can find thousands of pics of sand flying.

To the OP, good luck in the Coast Guard and thank you for serving.

Rubicon owners drive in 2 x 4 intentionally. otherwise there are no known obsticals that are challanging.
