Default New CJ-7 owner near Lansing.

Hey all.

Just picked up an 85 CJ-7 from a friend.
95k orig. miles, 3000 miles on a 96-98 4.0 crate motor with the H.O. (0630) head, Mopar FI kit, electric fans, Borla SS header, TF999 auto trans.

Tub is a bit rusty drivers floor - and it ain't pretty on the outside (was rusty and the po used a brush to paint over some of the surface rust. Already ordered floor patch panels.

On the plus side - as stated above - the running gear is awesome plus the frame is pretty much rust free, just some surface rust.
Going to POR-15 the frame this winter and do some minimal rust repair on the interior.

Plans are for a either a 2 1/2 or 4" lift and run the 33" Swampers it has on it.

Got the car for a STEAL - so she's gonna be a low buck funrunner.

Also own an 88 Bronco w/ 6" lift on 35's, 351 etc.

Live out near Lansing - all of my friends from Fowlerville are big into Jeeps - so now they've pulled me in also.

Dan

I can probably help you with stuff when you get rolling. I have 3 CJ's and typically hoard parts. I'm near the intersection of I-96 and US-23.
