Sorry for the mud... but it was unavoidable

Inviscid Motorsports had a good race. We were running in 3rd for the first 90 minutes or so, and then the buggy just stalled and wouldn't restart. We sat on the side of the trail for almost 20 minutes (cars passed us twice), then the buggy decided to run again. We were on a mission the last 2 laps after it fired up again, but couldn't make up any ground. We ended up 5th out of 12.

My 200hp just can't catch Colville or Roscoe when I get too far behind.

I'm still looking in to what made it stall, At this point I think the dist got wet, or the air filter was so packed with wet mud, it starved the engine. The mud dried out, and could flow air again.

Our 4-1-12 Race recap

We were third into the first corner, with our new lower first gear i found it harder to carry speed from the 1-2 shift so we were not able to capture the hole shot.

Through out the first lap we were in slower b class traffic but managed to pick off about 5 of them.

coming up on the end of the first lap we broke a rear ujoint, we dont know if this was caused by axle wrap or loosing a cap due to a clip failing. Camron immediately ran for the pits to get extra tools and a spare u joint, while i remained with the jeep and started to get the rest of the old joint out. by the time we got the new joint in the leaders in c class were almost lapping us for the second time so we were close to two laps down.

When we got the jeep moving again it was decided that we were going to sprint to the end and not worry whether the jeep would hold together. At one point we found our self in third gear on the rev limiter driving down the old access road towards the back side of the quarry( bill can contest to how bumpy this is). The jeep help up great and we ended up gaining a lap and a half back and finished a few minutes behind first place.

2nd place was a great accomplishment after breaking on the first lap.

Nice video Bones. Looks like you were able to chase down the green buggy pretty good on the trail back to where Rusty's buggy rolled. Sucks he didn't let you finish the pass before the single track.

Eh, that's racing. I think I might have closed my eyes and held my breath when we were attempting to pass and I saw the trail narrowing...lol, jk, sort of, I can't really remember.

He's supposed to let us pass. If you're caught, you're passed.

Otherwise this happens

Yep, he only had to break check and you would have been fine. This seems like a cut and dry case, too. It's not like he was being held up. Seems to happen too often. Altough it looks like he picked up the pace from what I could see around the mud glob.

What was frustrating to us last year was when we would be trying to chase down the C-class leader, and we would be stuck behind a slower A or B-class car.

Oh well. Just need a louder horn.

I am seriously outmatched in HP in the A class. The only place I can pass people in on the long straights. I'm lucky my 200HP can keep up in the mini-drag races through the woods and S curves.

I ended up passing him on the same long straight on the second lap.

He knew I was there, no need for a louder horn. I am seriously considering a nerf bar for the front though.

I'm sure somebody on here could find you a little bigger motor......

I do admitt, when I peered through your mud covered roll cage, I was a little shocked, but impressed with the power plant, and the way it ran.

.........and no, I wasn't looking at Kristin, ................... at that time, (who I noticed later, was also covered in mud).

So what's the upgrade, and when are you doing it?
