my roommate had them on his 96 cummins 2500. They were a nice looking tire but I heard they had soft side walls? They were not to loud like you'd think (maybe due to the 12 valve and stack you could not hear them).

They did great for every day driving. He threw balancing beads in and they were balanced where you could drive on the freeway with no issues.

Is there a reason for going with these over Interco tires or anything else?

They are available. I have irocs but don't want them bald from me driving down the road. I have a chance to get off mr irocs and into these for an awesome deal.

Not impressed with there traction in mud or snow. Terrible for side hills or anywhere else that lateral traction is needed.

From what I have heard they are a decent road tire. I don't think you would be happy with them off road though, at least compared to the Irok.

Well I just ran a set of the new mtr's and loved them. But they don't make them in the right rim size for me. Has anyone had the xterrains in a big size? 38+? They now have a 3 ply side wall. Anything good Bout them?

My buddy has had 2 sets on 2 diffrent rigs. Hated them on the fullsize chevy that bought them for. His TJ came with them and still hates them. He had one sidewall blow out on the road with no exterior damage to sidewall before she blew.
