Default Currie Dana 44 for XJ

Got a Currie built dana 44. Currently has brackets for an XJ. One shaft is broken. Going to need that shaft, bearing, and brakes (which are just ford explorer 8.8 disk setup).

4.55 (4.54545454545) gears by counting teeth (50 ring, 11 pinion)
Detroit Locker
Big bearing kit, ford 9" outers

It came from a guy who said he was towing a trailer with his xj and tried to take off quick from a stop. Thats when the axle broke supposedly. Fluid inside was clean, no metal or rust. Was going to use in my ZJ, but my tow rig needs tires more than the Jeep needs a new rear axle.

Axle is over $2k new. Asking $400 obo, possible trades for zj stuff, 5.56/.223 ammo, guns. Can get pictures up after work this afternoon. If interested and I havent got the pics up, just post to remind me.

Located in Ft. Wayne In. I will be at the 4wheel jamboree in lima ohio in a few weeks and can deliver there or along the way

EDIT: Mis-counted gears originally. Fixed ratio in original post

If you ever part out, I'd be interested in the Detroit, possibly the gears. Thanks.

I cant get an exact measurement since the one side is broke and tore apart. However, i have it laying right behind an XJ d30 and they look to be identical widths. I also measured from backing plate mounting flange to flange and compared to a d35 i currently have tore out of my xj and they are within an inch of each other for sure. If i recall correctly, ZJ and XJ axles are same width. It is the 5x4.5 lug pattern (confirmed with an XJ rotor just to be sure lol).
