Default Griffin Holsters- Check inside for models covered

I have been making some holsters for my use and they seem to be working out well, so I am going to start offering them to the world. They are leather backed with kydex fronts, and have tuckable belt clips. I can do either half back (like my 17) or a full back (like my 26) style for either size, so its customer preference. Please check the bottom of this post for a current list of Mail Order models. I can also do other pistols if you are local, I just need the gun in front of me to make the mold. So, if you are local to the GR area, we can work something out.

*I can now do the Glock 29/30, Colt 1911, Ruger LCP, Springfield Xdsc, and M&Pc!!*

The price will be $45 plus shipping ($5 from USPS)

I'd test one out for $30 shipped. I would need a left handed half back for a G26. How long do they take to make?

I can, since you are in GR if you want to swing by and we can iron it out. As of now I haven't done a khar but they are all the same I just don't have a back pattern I would have to design it as we go, but its no big deal.

How rigid is the kydex? How thick is it? Does it hold the gun pretty tight? How is holster retention when drawing the pistol? Do those clips work well without the j-hooks on them?

I use .06 kydex so its thin enough but still strong. When IWB with a little bit of pressure from your hip, you hear a "click" when you holster it. If you were to turn it upside down while not in your hip, the leather back would flex and it would most likely fall out, but that is not the intended use. I have went running with mine jumping etc, to try and get it to move..... it hasn't..... not even a little bit. It's not going anywhere, full size or subcompact.

Do you have j-hooks? Or are you confident in the regular clips?

The clips I use are sprung steel and are more sturdy than the "j-hook" on my galco USA holster.

J-hooks suck. They put the weight of the gun on your pants, not your belt.

I could do a 19, but my problem is I don't have one to make the mold out of. If I find one, I will let you know.

Original thread added to include models 19/23/32 to the available options. And if you are local, and want something other than a glock, we can meet and I'll make it while you wait, or get the mold and then have it in a day or two.

Unfortunately I do not. Without having the light I can't do a proper mold. The only thing I can offer is a 23 without a light.

I know some open carry guys that like custom holsters(especially if you can put designs into the holster)

but the thing is,open carriers dont use conceal holsters.

Post a thread up on www.miopencarry.org and www.opencarry.org if your interested in selling to those guys.

Thanks, The leather is 8-9 oz which is 3/16'' or better thick. But it never gets to 1/4" It is strong enough to support the weight but also flexible enough to bend with you.

I cannot compare to the Mtac because I have never seen one.
