Default '78 Jeep CJ7 5" lift, 35" MTs, 350V8, Dana 44 rear

This Jeep has been a project planned for the winter... the last 2 winters, now I need the room and cash so it's got to go.

Specs are as follows:

1978 Jeep CJ7
Engine: GM 350 V8
Carb - Edelbrock Performer 600
Intake - Edelbrock Performer
Exhaust - shorty headers to side exit glasspacks
Transmission: Jeep T-18 4 speed manual
Transfer Case - Dana 20
Front Axle - Stock Dana 30
Rear Axle - Dana 44
Lincoln-locked by Northwest 4x4 (local shop)
Disc Brake conversion kit installed
Wheels - 15x8 Chrome Steelies (good condition)
Tires - 35x12.5 Mud King XT Radials 90% tread
Suspension - Stock, spring-over conversion

The good:
I bought this as a project and it's got all the hardware to be a heavy duty wheeling or muddin' CJ. The motor has new fuel pump, power steering pump, and plugs and starts and runs well.
It's equally great as a parts jeep or as a project to rebuild and tune up for the dirt. Jeep starts and drives, ready to load on trailer and get ready to fix up and have fun.
Tires and wheels are great, still look good, have 90% tread left, and have minor weather checking and light cracking on tread surface.

The bad:
The T-18 trans needs a rebuild, it was full of watery gear oil when I got it and it appears it got water inside while wheeling. I've drained and filled the fluid twice and it's still noisy and has a leaky input seal.
Front axle needs rotors, pads, and brake hoses.
Front driveshaft needs replacing, have a front shaft which may fit.
Needs new shocks all around.

The ugly:
Body is rough, real rough. Yeah, it's rusty but it's also dented, creased, and crumpled. This has been a trail CJ for years and shows it.
Ignition switch is toast and I've replaced it with distributor/ignition cutoff switches and an momentary dash mounted button. Any good trailered vehicle should start with a push-button. :)
Jeep is not road legal, no heater, top, horn, or working lights.
Frame is decent, good for a CJ with medium rust typical behind rear axle.
Seats are average factory Jeep seats, some splits and cracks. Passenger seat frame is bent. Old 5pt harness for driver.
Again, this CJ is is fixer upper and is rough to look at, but it's got the parts that matter.

Included with the sale are:
Used and straight CJ7 hood, needs paint but in good condition and solid, no rust through.
2 front grills, both straight and one with lights
Used fender, passenger side in good shape.

If you want to see a video of the truck starting and running, check out the You-Tube vid below:

NO TRADE$... need the cash, or I'd be fixing and wheeling it myself.
