Default Smith & Wesson 342 pd Airlite

This is kind of a rare gun, smith and wesson discontinued after a very short time not having anything to do with the quality or popularity, but more to do with redundancy in their own market. It is a S&W 342pd airlite. This particular one is "The Centennial Edition" This revolver is made of titanium and scandium and weights in at a whopping (sarcastic) 10.8 oz. This gun is chambered in 38 special and is rated for 38+p rounds which it will hold 5 of. it is as far as I know the lightest 38 revolver ever made. This gun is in in fair condition and does show some signs of carry and handling.

The airlite line and PD's (particularly with concealed hammers) have become extremely sought after and desirable carry guns. I have been carrying airlites for years and so have my friends and we all agree there is no better everyday carry piece...as well as a must have as a backup weapon for anyone in the field. This is also an AMAZING gun for summer carry as you can easily put it anywhere including a pocket or cargo pocket of shorts without bulge, bulk or weighing down!

The reason i am selling this one is because i have found myself with duplicates of several firearms and there are other wants on my list.

asking 550 or open to trades.

Free bump for a great carry gun (and fellow MGOer)
I have carried a 340PD 357 all day/every day for about 5 years.
The Scandium frame/Ti cylinder combination is the finest carry gun avaiable.

Just sent a pic and info to my neighbor. He is in the market for a new carry gun (something smaller than his Judge).

I used to have a 342PD. I loved the gun for pocket carry. Really was awesome in the summer in a pair of shorts. They weren't that expensive though when I had, and sold, mine so I kind of wish I would have held on to it. Could have doubled my money now! lol
