Default Old Countertop or other workbench material

Looking for materials that'd be suitable for a decent garage workbench. Old kitchen counters or something along those lines maybe? I can work around certain sizes, but ideal would be at least 24" deep and at least 72" wide(the wider the better, or multiple pieces). The closer to Fowlerville/Livingston County the better

why bother with benches? your just gonna pile junk on um and never finish any of the projects you start..... lol

Butcher block or 2x6's screwed seem to hold up the best. My buddies dad built his shop when we were kids and covered the tops in some sort of steel (its not stainless but it doesn't rust..) those have help up awesome !

Yup I've got some ideas like that, just seeing if anyone has anything pre-made or used that they're looking to get rid of
