X2 I spit frequently. I just do it out of the way.

I'm not exactly sure this is a new trend.

I feel that some guys start chewing because they think it's cool. Usually start when they're in their mid to late teens. I started chewing after I quit smoking. Got tired of the smell on me. I took up chewing for a few months and I quit. Got tired of having that dry mouth and the dip falling apart in my mouth. Too much work. Smoking is much easier if you crave that kinda rush, but didn't wanna go back to smoking so I'm way over that stuff. But I know people who have been chewing since they were 16. Tin a day, now they have loose teeth!

I used to smoke cigarettes, I smoked for 10 to 11 years. I got tired of the taste, smell and image. I quit. I didn't turn to "dip" or any of that other crap.

Hell, I think chewing is far worse then smoking any day of the week. I cannot stand seeing a spit bottle in someones car, I have a weak stomach for that crap.

As for quitting smoking, it was the best thing I ever did. I ran my 1st mile since about 10th grade today. Wasn't pretty but I did it.

Yea, smoking was also one of the, or possibly the best thing I ever did. I couldn't workout for long periods of time when I smoked. Now, I can run and workout with ease. Chewing was stupid. Wish I never started that. But now I don't crave chew at all. Yea seeing a spitter in a car on a hot day is nasty as hell.

I work with a guy that chews. Always has a spitter in his back pocket. Grosses me the Crap out. Then there's the days he forgets to bring one and has to go to a door everytime he needs to spit.

I used to work with this old guy who always had a lip full and was always spitting on the floor in the shop.

I finally told him "Hey I gotta work in here and if I gotta get under one of these machines and I lay in or kneel on a gob of your spit its really disgusting. I dont spit in your truck dont come in my shop and spit on the floor."

I only had to tell him once and then Remind him a few times and he started spitting in the trash can or into an empty pop can

My neighbor that died of mouth and throat cancer agrees with you, or he would if he still could.

I think this is the first post that I have read from steveo where he hasn't insulted someone or someone has insulted him! Also it seems that gl4x4 agrees with him too. Double win? I too can't stand it when people chew with their mouth open. It seems that more and more people never had this lesson as kids. I was appalled at all the people that chew with their mouths open, then forget to simply push in their chair when I started college.

I worked on a customers dirtbag explorer once. I had to repair something on the column... crap, buts, ashes all over. Spit cup in the center console - if found this out because my air hose caught on it and spilled it all over me. Love that. Thanks. I made sure to wipe my face on the seat.

I did something similar to some non dog shit cleaner uppers. piles were everywhere in the yard and i eventually stepped in one. I acted like i didn't know and tracked it in their house and on the rug. Kinda dicky, but well deserved i thought.
