Over the last week I got my spare shafts assembled

I also cut and fit the toolbox

I had my dad weld it up and I mounted it to the floor
I'm very happy with this
Currently I have my recovery gear spare shafts a jack and tools in it with room to spare and nothing floating around behind the seats anymore

I think there is even still room for a 37 in the back
I also figured out a location to mount my Emerson camera

I'm not sure I'm real happy with it because of its vulnerability but we will see

I ran my camera pretty close to that spot on a buddies rig, and it was OK video, but the only sounds to be heard were the fan right behind it, loud as can be, and a few VERY hard hits on the rocks. I'd either move it left or right on the bumper, on the hood, or on the windshield frame.

I just read through this whole thread from start to finish. Very cool rig, and a good job IMO. I'd like to see the Supercharger installed, but the other route would be neat too.

Now that you have had this for some time, how much do you drive it on the road vs off road only? I assume you trailer it to events now?

The problem with the camera is it only came with two mounts and that was the best I could come up with without fabing a mount

And when I start to add up what the motor swap would cost it is probably still gonna get supercharged at some point

As far as how much I drive it
I don't ever trailer it anymore because I don't have a trailer or tow rig so it gets driven all over
It drives prety good
The longer front shacked hurt the drive ability because it messed up the caster but it still doesn't drive too bad
It makes a good backup vehicle or occasional cruise to work jeep
The 2.5 doesn't like the 35s over 60 mph at all but with the 33s it will cruise at 80mph down the highway
It has a broken bolt for the exhaust manifold currently so it has a prety good exhaust leak that I'm sure is hurting my performance but I have the oil pan I need to be able to install my header
So a entire exhaust rework is probably the next major project
That is unless I find a grizzly or Detroit for the front axle

One of my main focuses for this jeep is to stay as different as possible
I don't want another cookie cutter jeep
Thanks for the compliment

So there is a bit of a test track around the house through the woods
Nothing difficult just some small hills and holes
Well I tried driving around it on Saturday and it tuned into a winching exercise
The snows pretty deep

I also did a refresh on my jack
It looked like shit and all the fasteners were loose
So it got painted and lock tighted

Also put some rubber in the toolbox

Well I tried driving around the trail around the house again today and was doing good until I slid into a tree
Carnage

The grill is no longer centered

And it's hard to see but my pitman arm is now bent down and has a twist in it
Oh boy
So now I'm on the search for a wagoneer pitman ran to prevent this from happening again

Fixed the latch, recentered the clip as much as possible so the hood at least latches, and adjusted my drag link so I can drive the jeep
I don't think the pitman arm is bad enough to get worried until I do some serious wheeling
I do have a line on a waggy pitman arm tho so when I get that it will get fixed

I've been working on another motor to swap in lately (just another 2.5)
New motor has 27k miles on it and I am installing a tj header and oil pan
I made up a simple oil pan skid plate at work today
And I plan to get the new motor swapped in in the next couple weeks
I'll post some pics later

Nothing at all
I just had this other motor and to install the header I needed to change the oil pan
And it's not much harder to change the whole motor then change the oil pan

That's the main reason for the header is to redo the exhaust
It desperately needs it
It sounds pretty bad right now
And ya I know I'll get some pics
