I would imagine they dont make quite as good of a catch-all as a tredmill, but im sure clothes will hang on them just fine.

I would buy one used. I have used them at the gym but I dont really know much more about them. This time of year why not get a bike and actually get your ass out of the house

Nahh...

He just needs to post up some pictures of her and everyone here will quickly decide whether she needs an elliptical or not.

I'm guessing she does since she asked for one. If she didn't she'd do like kerry ann and go to the gym, or ride her bike, or go for a run, outside.

in other words just get her some hangers and shelves and new laundry baskets, she'll still get the same amount of exercise if he were to buy her the ellipticle exercising machine

Cleaning the house burns calories too.. I would like to volunteer my house for people to come and do that sort of workout in, but Mike hate's people in our house soo..... I am sorry that I can't be of service to those in need

My honest opinion is that to make something sustainable you have to find something you love. I have never met anyone who LOVED their elliptical. Those people may exist but to most people it's just a chore. For example, I love my new bike. I am watching the weather today and hoping its going to be warm enough to bike (I hate the cold more than I love my bike). Know your own truths and adjust to them.

We have had the $300 models and they suck if you actually use them. We bought a Body Solid (think it was an E5 or 6 model) about 5 years ago and it is just as solid as a commercial model. We paid about $1000 for it but it comes with a lifetime warranty on everything including the monitor. The thing you need to decide is if it's going to see regular use, if the answer is a "true" yes then you need to spend the money to get a quality machine otherwise it just won't last. Ours has probably seen an average of 7 hours of use per week for the past 5 years and it's still just as smooth as day 1 with no service.

Looks like the E5 & 6 are discontinued and only the E7 is sold now which has a MSRP of about $2700. I did a quick search on Ebay and if you want to make the trip out to IL there is a very nice machine for $399. Here is the link.

But, is it good at hanging clothes on?

10 miles, what did you use it twice?

IMO, the only difference between the cheap and expensive models are electronics like fans, and heart monitors and tv's and big LCD displays, they just look fancier, but I dont think the moving parts are much different.

I think he is a she. But it sounds like it was a good clothes hanger.

Have you been on a nice elliptical at a gym and then stepped on a cheap elliptical at MC sports or dicks?
