Default winch thoughts?

i wouldn't buy this from quadratec because of the price. but what do u think about this? worth it?

that website is overpriced im sure you could fine the same thing if not, close to that for way less

good point on the radiator comment. and yeah i agree zach, i didn't plan on buying from quadratec. but i look for parts there first.

Wouldn't a good pancake compressor and a normal winch be a better option. That way you could remove the pancake, hoses, fittings, and tools when driving on a daily basis. On board air or a on board welder in a DD/weekend warrior is something that I just do not get.
The cooling aspect has already been mentioned, no big there though just need more powerful fans, and a higher amp alternator, those are both worth while upgrades anyway though.

I had one. I liked it. The compressor is Awesome. I could have 2 vehicle's tires filled with air by the time it took me to fill up one tire with my cheapo Kmart special air compressor... That was the best part. The winch worked well too.
I am now running a winch and a portable compressor. The compressor is not as fast as the PP, but I can carry it inside for weight distribution, and not block the airflow.
