Default The XJ Build

Stock...bought Jan 2005:

My 88 XJ wheels because they had tires with tread:

During lift:

3" and 31's June 2005:

6.5" and 33's July 2006:

October 2006:

Getting ready to bolt in my new 8.8:

September 17, 2007

Upgraded to Rusty's 8.5" coils and 6.5" leafs along with my 2" shackles. Got some next to new 35" BFG M/T's. Also installed JCR 1-ton steering. Upgraded the body mount for the track bar so that it is a bushing instead of ball joint end. Cleaned up the axle and my long arms and painted everything. Will need some touch up on the front end and the rear still has to be done. I ran out of time before the run to the Mounds on 9-16-07.

Anyways, here are a few pics.

A couple pics from the Mounds run the same day.

How do you like the window vent things? I've considered getting a set, but are they worth the money? I'm concerned about ripping them off on a trail...

I like them. Lets a little air in when you want to. I usually have them open on the trails a little also and don't have to worry about mud getting in. I have never had any problems with ripping them off. They take a lot of abuse...finally one of the last times I went to the Mounds I was backing down a trail and caught a tree branch and it took a tiny chip out...so I guess they hold up pretty good.

Yeah, I know, I just need to get motivated to do it. I am parking my Jeep for now I think since I need to replace my NSS and I am hoping to get a 8.8 for the rear since I broke a shock mount of my axle tonight and I need to replace some bushings in my long arms also. So yeah, eventually I will get around to the trimming.

Yeah, see you when you get back.

Hey, Dan, take Shreddedbark to the mounds on saturday, would ya? I'm wussing out till I fix my steering gear box, and he's got no-one to play with! you jeep gets cooler all the time. where'd ya pick up the 8.8? all the ones I keep finding are missing the VERY exspensive brake parts.

A friend of mine on here decided to part his Jeep out, so I was all over getting his 8.8 right away. Yeah, you should come out anyways. ReadyforWheelin is coming out as well, so it sounds like there will be many people there. Thanks for the compliment as well.

Hey, I remember this, your Jeep was sitting like this when me and my dad came and picked up the t-case. I gotta tell you though, that thing was really muddy.
