cashed strapped, no upgrade planned.

If the car would have ran the complete race without stalling for 20 minutes, I think wewould have ended up second, still behind Mike. Any planned future upgrades are low dollar (relative to a motor) and intended to increase durability, not speed. The car is scary fast in the straights as is.

Still hoping to see if the lap times posted today. When I called yesterday they said they should be up today.

The way i read the rule is, we honk, we make sure you know where there, then we start pushing.

Im not waiting for people any more. We found that the minute you put your bumper on some one elses they move in a big hurry.

Know i dont think a A class rig should be mowing over c classers, but if they arent moving then bump them.

I never had a problem with anyone in B or C class. Fish took a little "persuading" but moved over pretty Fing fast too.

I need a nerf bar to protect my lights though haha.

I am really concerned that I wouldn't hear anyone's horn (with the exception of Rosco's siren) with our buggy. So if anyone DOES catch up to us - sorry.

great runs for all the michigan teams.

why wouldnt a u joint and a couple wrenches already be in the rig? thats as basic as it gets to carrying spare parts. i know weight is always a concern but that could of cost a 1st place finish.

u joint will probably be going in the tool bag. but you are right weight vs. reward

its kind of like the spare tire and jack we cart around. we have never changed a tire out on course.(although we use the spare get our weight bias to the rear). luckily we were very close to the pits.

This is what it looked like after the roll

This is what happened to the same guy last year at the Badlands

He didn't roll, just had some breakage

I think I would stay away from him.

they are supposed to be go-fast, no rocks. the last course was awesome. As far as not punishing enough on the rigs, my front axle would disagree. TREC has caused more carnage than KOH....

his cage held up remarkably well. In fact the whole body did.

Too bad he tore up the rest of it

Yes it does look like it held up and that's great for safety but I've seen a couple other post about his trec exp and it seems he's broke link tabs on sev occasions and they don't look like they are reinforced or getting upgraded. I beat its more brutal then koh. High speed and constant hard vibration from the hard dirt course is probably worse then sand and occasional rock course.

I do understand that anyone's built buggy like yours Bill can and will have some type failure in those races, its just a harsh race but to strengthen or redesign the the problem areas seems like a no brainer.

I do really like yours and Mikes rig and wish you both the best! Kasey Johnny and Hancho as well!
