Question on INTAKE repair on a 5.2 Liter

I keep reading that there is many different ways to try to repair them do any of them really work? I did mine back around October and now have any issue with a #8 cylinder misfire. I have tested every thing and tried the rerouting of the wires and nothing has changed it. The only thing left that Ive come to is the intake is bad again according to Identafix. So is there a way besides welding the lower plenum plate that will keep me from having this problem again?

more than likely your injector is clogged. the fuel rail design is poor and the number 8 injecter because of its placement in relation to the rail has a tendancy to clog up. its real easy to fix. unbolt the rail, take off the throttle cable bracket,(i usually just take the throttle body off and put a new gasket on instead) remove the injector, look inside you will see a bunch of brown crap inside it. Clean it out with carb cleaner reinstall it and be on your way.

Highly doubt its the gasket again, this early. they usually go bad from getting old and cracking, not really much else. the chances of your gasket being bad is highly unlikely. dont pull the intake until youve exhausted all other options.
