Default good quality tape measure holder

I am sick of the snaps breaking on my clc and i am looking for one that will actually last. Any suggestions? It has to be able to fit a 25' fat max.

The answer should be in here...

If not, this should do.

Take that CLC pouch and toss it. Buy a quality leather pouch with rivets. Or one that is nylon.
The nylon is cheaper and lighter but they rip out faster then leather.

You can get one like this.
http://compare.ebay.com/like/2607432...Types&var=sbar
but if the belt breaks your sol.

Buying a package deal is your best bet. You can find something like this
http://www.constructiongear.com/buck...-toolbelt.html
or this
http://www.toolbeltstore.com/tool-be...ool+Belt+Combo
at your local hardware store. They are usually good for 3-5 years of daily use.

Or you could just go with old school leather and only have to buy one pouch.

All i need is a tape measure holder with the strap over the top to hold it in. I am a pipe welder so I would really like to stick with leather. Nylon doesn't last very long when you deal with red hot metal and sparks all day long. I like the clc except for the snap on the strap that holds the tape in the pouch. It is leather and riveted together.

The ditch keeps me out of the 30 mph wind. I have 2 laborers assigned to me, the busier I keep them the less time they have to get in trouble.

LOL, I would actually love to be welding in a ditch right now. For the last year 90% of my work has been ss tig and I am getting sick of it. I'm ready to make some sparks!

I have the hookup if you wanna get back into it. I almost went back to pipelining but I have it too good with my current employer to even consider a job that involves actual work.

No, I'm good right now. I'm getting plenty of hours and i am not doing any more out of state work for a good long time. We have started running a lot of ammonia piping in sch10&40 ss instead of sch40&80 cs. They are good for the same pressures and you don't have to worry about corrosion. The only thing that sucks is trying to meet code for internal hi low when you are only allowed 25% the wall thickness which works out to about 1/32" and the pipe and fitting tolerances allow 1/4" variance. The fit up time is waaaay to long but the office likes to blame the guy welding it. An 8" x ray quality sch 10 weld takes me 30 minutes but i usually can only get 2 done a day after purge and fit up.

If you like it take it to a leather shop and have them put some rivets in it. Maybe a strap for your tape or something. Just goggle and find one around you.

I have had quite a few people on other forums suggest the occidental leather one as this. I don't like the fact that there is no strap over the tape but they look like they are really high quality. I think I may order one and give it a try. If it sucks I'm out $25, oh well.
