I try not to be a racist. But I also try not to just buy into the media narrative which has the sweet innocent little boy Trayvon coming home from the candy store and getting blown away by the evil power hungry gun toting cop wanna be Zimmerman.

You could just as easily create a narrative which has the pot smoking suspended from school troubled youth Martin out wandering at night attacking concerned citizen and neighborhood watch volunteer George, and as he’s getting his head pounded into the pavement George manages to get his gun out and kills his attacker.

I think reality is probably somewhere in between. I think these two men were on a collision course that night and their personalities and frame of mind lead to a confrontation that neither could back down from. It’s probably the right move to charge GZ in the killing and let the courts decide, I just hope he gets a fair trial and the people don’t get stupid if the outcome of the trial isn’t to their liking.

I admire you if you are truely non racist. Being raised by a cop dad and having a cop grandfather sort of ground the subject into my brain. I try to give people the benefit of the doubt but if a specific race is constantly reinforcing the stereotypes, then I have a tendency to judge a person based on their previous established behavior patterns.

As far as being smarter than you, I thought we buried the hatchet on that one. I can't be too smart, I'm here.

Nuggets there is no doubt that you are PREJUDICE, and EVERYONE is prejudice, you have to be, it's common nature.

But to be racist is ignorant.

I think you are smart enough to not be racist.

Is it common for certain races to do certain things? Yes, that is why there are jokes like "white people problems", asian women can't drive, mexicans are landscapers, jews are cheap, etc.....but to hate a person based on their race is ignorant.

To lump all of one race in with another is ignorant.

To tell people you are racist isn't so bright, I mean unless you flat out don't care.

Yes, it doesn't surprise me when so and so from Detroit did this....and then the picture comes up in a rather unsurprising manner to show a certain demographic, but don't let that make you racist. Let it make you aware of certain stereotypes and why they exist, and let it be something that you keep in the back of your mind, but don't let it be the over riding factors in how you judge people.

Brian Terry was a US Border Patrol agent from Flat Rock. Eric Holder's Justice Department decided a few years back to start a mission called "Operation Fast And Furious". The plan was to sell a shitload of guns to the Mexican drug cartels, with the supposed purpose of tracking just where exactly guns from the US were ending up in Mexico. Some critics have said that the plan really was to give the gun control nuts some ammo by saying that guns from the US are causing all the violence in Mexico. The whole operation went haywire when Brian Terry was killed a year and a half ago by some drug cartel scum using the very guns that the Justice Department sold to the cartels. Congress has tried to get Holder to tell what he knew about the operation, but he's been stonewalling and avoiding the issue. And the trusty Obama lapdog media has pretty much ignored the story, to the point the most Americans have no clue about any of it.

So Brian Terry's family is probably thrilled that the Trayvon Martin killing has gotten so much news time, while Brian's death and the subsequent cover up by the Justice Department has been swept under the rug.

When I was doing lawn aerations for Scotts (in the D), I woke a lady up with the noise from the machine (it was pretty early). I expected to be yelled at but when she called me a racist for waking her up, I about fell over. When I replied that I felt her comment was racist, she about blew a gasket! I got tired of her ebonic bitching so I started the machine up and finished the job.
