Default Now - a flood in the basement.....

Earlier in the week it was toasty in my woods. Today, it's wet in my basement. The pump that sends the water from the laundry tub took a break during the spin cycle. I think it's toasted or clogged up.
This year has been just one thing after another. Maybe I'm done by the time the end of March comes around.
Steve, my husband, has been in Mexico working and has only been home for a total of 3 weeks so far this year. Every time he goes something happens. I've had all 4 of our vehicles in for something or other which has been adding up cost-wise. Then the fire in the woods and now the pump in the basement.
Good thing most of the laundry was already done and my closet is jam-packed with clothes.
I'm going to have to bail out the tub and see if I can get it to start back up somehow. In my previous house it would restart after being unplugged & plugged back in. From what I can see, though, this one's not going to do that. It's leaking at the bolts that hold the top on.
I could call our plumber but I think I need to save something for him to work on when he gets back.

I'm close. I could take a look at it for you. I'm guessing it's a shellback pump?

If it's the one in the washer (i'm guessing) they aren't that expensive or hard to replace. The biggest Biotch is getting the metal case off the washer.
