You should know by now you will never get a single sentence answer to anything. You will always get a full on commentary, with sarcasm. That's just the name of the game around here.

I am looking at galvanized trailers instead of painted trailers. The factory rep told me that the galvanizing adheres to the metal 5 times better than paint.

Please do not keep the stupid ideas to yourself. Not only are they somewhat entertaining, but someone has to keep you from actually trying this shit. I have never seen a buggy rust out in 'a few years'. Silly

Exactly, frames rust out after years and years of being full of wet mud and road salt. Seal the tubes and paint it well and its done.

Any coating you put on there can be ground/scratched off and rust locally anyway. Save your money for a powerwasher instead.

We don't powdercoat or plate buggy frames becuase the first time you roll your tube will be back down to bare metal and will start rusting. You don't want to completely strip your chassis everyime you ruin your pretty plating so tha you can re-dip or re-powdercoat it again.

Just fully weld your chassis, tear it down to a bare chassis, do a proper prep job on the tube to remove oils, etc. Use a good metal etching primer (don't cheap on this step) and prime the entire chassis. Then go get a descent rust proof paint and go to town. I would reccomend a spray paint that you will be able to find 2 or 3 years down the road.

Then enjoy it. The firsst time you make friends with a tree, you won't be pissed that your bling chassis is fawked. Just go home, prep the damaged area, prime, repaint, and enjoy it again.

A chassis that looks this clean

Will soon look like this. Don't sweat ashetics. Thats not the goal of a tube chassis.

Correct, not in Mi. Only running down the coast of salt water oceans and dry lake beds for 1000 miles in salt air for many of its races. I say NICKLE PLATING FTW!
