There was a huge ice storm in '77, I remember my dad having to snowshoe to the 7-11 to get emergency supplies. The winter before that, Christmas day was 55 degrees, and we played outside in shorts. That summer, we also got a hail storm in the city of Saginaw that dropped a foot of golf ball sized hail stones. It took nearly 2 days to melt. Streets were unpassable, the ice would just jam up in front of your tires, and there were rivers of melting runoff flooding every intersection. It was cool!

The winter of 79-80 was real mild, no snow! I bought my first brand new snowmobile only to put like 10 miles on it! Hell even Tip-Up town that year
didn't have any snow!

Take this with a grain of salt.

A friend of mine has a client who told him the last time there was a winter like this was 1954?????

EDIT: A quick search showed that there was not much snow that year.

I agree. I was merely asking if people think there is a Correlation between a Very mild winter and the next year being crazy.

I Swam in the lake at camp yesterday and today. Looking for tools that I dropped while working on the docks in the winter. I didn't even need a towel when I got out.

We haven't taken our plows off the trucks or anything yet. Well....Except the Curtis plow, but that is supposed to come off easy.

I remember a winter or summer when it was either much warmer or possibly a lot colder than other winters or summers. Maybe.

That was so long ago. I was driving a Buick back then & do remember actually putting chains on my tires during that blizzard. One flew off and I never found it. I was working at The Oakland Press back then.
The year before I was driving an ElCamino and didn't have any problems driving due to the lack of winter issues.
