My right eye turned out about 20/20. My left eye was closer to 20/25-30. As time has gone on, my left eye has never focused quite as well as I would like. It gets tired easier. I get by with readers in the 2.0 vintage.

All in all, one of the best things I have ever done. Being able to water ski on the slalom course & see the balls is awesome. Snow skiing without my glasses fogging up is awesome. Rolling over and looking at the clock is awesome. Getting up in the morning and looking outside the moment I wake up is awesome.
That had that back then? Holy crap that's like 30 years ago.

Had it done 10 years ago in canada. Perfect vision 8 hours later. Had to have it redone 2 years ago but mine came with lifetime touchups if your vision gets bad again. Only problem i had was second time i got a cloudyness under the flap where the eye cells tried to heal the cut but got under flap. Had to go back and get it cleaned up but been perfect ever since.

My best friend had it done once about 15 years ago and then again about 5 years ago. Before he had it done the first time, he basically needed to strap binoculars onto his face to actually see anything. He says that even if his vision deteriorates to the point where he might benefit from it a third time, he would gladly consider it again.

Depends on what you get, I have a buddy that paid $750 out the door for both eyes and a buddy that paid $6000 for it. I paid somewhere in the middle.

I had it done 14 years ago. Well worth it. I have noticed one of my eyes does not see as good as it used to so I may need glasses again but my vision was 20/400.

I had radial keratotomy done (scalpel , not a computer and a laser) in 1994. My vision is still nearly perfect.

Wow you had the old school treatment where they guessed how many cuts and how deep to make them. If I remember right that procedure was accidentally discovered in Russia when they accidentally cut some guys eye.

I had mine done in Canada about 10 years ago also. It slipped a little, but I sure like not needing glasses.

Well, had this done. Had an issue with my right eye not taking to the suction to do the blade free surgery, so they reverted to the "old school" way, and used a scalpel, scrapped away layers of my cornea. This procedure is known as PRK. That is an experience I'll tell you. I was totally conscious. Wasn't able to see all day Friday. My left eye, which they did the blade free lasiks on was fine on Saturday. I still have a contact bandage in my right eye which today, is the 1st time it isn't very sore. Seeing double out of that which I attribute to looking through the contact/bandage. I go back in Tuesday to get it removed. Hopefully it will be okay. Dry eyes = The suck. Because they ended up doing the PRK on my right, they reduced the price to 3300.
