Default What axle is in my van?

I have a 1999 ford e150 with the 5.4L engine.

There is diff lube leaking out of the right rear axle tube. I would like to replace the seal and or bearing, but all the parts site only list parts for the 8.8, which I'm sure is not what I have. It's much bigger. So what is it? How do I get the right parts?

Default axle

If the whole 3rd member in bolts its a 9" other wise it may be a 10.25 . I had a 1995 e150 and while it was much larger it was still a 8.8 . There should be a tag on the bolts for the cover. Or I believe some times they stamped it on the axle tubes. Good luck.

It's not 9" and it looks nothing like the 8.8 I have in my Jeep.

For sure not a 9"'production stopped on these rearends in the late 80's. Most likely a 8.8 hd. That's what most vans have.

It could also be a semi float dana 60, several of my dad's E vans (contractor models) have them.

Have you tried to look up what the code under "Axle" on the door translates to?

In the F150 they put 8.8 or 9.75, maybe someone swapped in an f150 9.75?
