Default My new job rocks!

I spent the morning in our applications lab working with a couple designers from ************* working on some prototype pieces for future cars.

This is really cool stuff!

That is all. Back to your regularly scheduled surfing.

I work at Extol Inc. We build plastic joining tools. Infra stake units for plastic stake welding, huge plate welders and spin welders. We do everything in house except for the paint, powder coating, and plating.
We don't do the prototyping of the parts themselves, but rather work with the designers to make the prototype part moldings correctly so that our welders can join them.

I guess you could say that we are involved between the prototyping stage and the actual production pieces. I've seen some pretty sweet concepts come through the door already and it's only been a week.

Thats awesome. I just got a new job at a company called Faurecia, we probably use your plastic welders because we do all of the interiors, and I am currently working for Cadillac ATS and the second gen CTS! I get to go to GM all of the time and see their prototype line (HD Duramax trucks, Cadillacs, Malibus, 2014 Corvette) GM is doing some crazy shit right now and im glad I am a part of it! :)
