Obama has proved himself to be just what I originally saw him as: a Chicago politician with uber-liberal roots.

In reality he's a political lightweight who counts on his novelty value ("we're making HISTORY!") and liberal white guilt to get by. Hell, he had to fight his own party - who held a commanding majority - tooth and nail to get his marquee health care bill through. And that bill looks nothing like the Euro-Socialist single payer plan he talked up originally. He was happy to get anything so he could say he did it.

In foreign policy he continues to bumble his way along and with the economy he's too busy paying back faithful donors (unions, various alternative energy firms, etc...) to be of any real impact - he has zero economic depth.

The excellent marketers in the DNC sold the American people a shallow, green freshman IL Assemblyman who's main selling factor was the absence of a track record. The people wanted anything but Dubya, and that's who and what they ran - and continued to run against him even though he wasn't even there.

We aren't of one mind. I also tend to stay away from what are called "open handed issues". Ones that are widely discussed but not critical to the gospel. I try and speak from what the word of God says. It still doesn't make me unable to talk about my faith. Neither should that be an excuse for other Xtians to talk about thier faith.

I am, by the words of my savior, qualified to share his gospel and protect the church (body of Christ, not building). That is exactly what I do here.

Please back up with scripture to support your claim...I don't believe you can, just as I don't believe you have a right to speak on behalf of other Christians. Sharing your beliefs is okay though

The Christians you talk about, if they are on the same page as in believe in the Jesus of the bible. If they believe in Jesus as the head of the body and we as Christians are the body. Then yes I do believe that he can speak for me. I have confidence in his ability to get the message across. His doctrine is sound and of the same Jesus I believe in. God sent His son Jesus to us to equip us with the Holy Spirit to go out into the world and preach the word to everybody.

I am sure, high center hancho, that I will be "voted off your island" for this, but you possess a uniquely abrasive approach to sharing your prospective on Christianity. What denomination are you?

I guess I took the same hit then, just not in the frontal lobe where it effects demeanor. It was in the back of the head where I can't control drooling.

Is it just me, or does Fenton have a surplus of four wheel drive enthusiasts?

Matthew 28:18-20

Quote:
Then Jesus came to them and said, "All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age."
Red - I try to do this. This was the call to his Disciples that were present and is a call to any of those that have had a changed heart by God.

Orange - Jesus had the authority to do so because he had, at that time, been reunited with the trinity.

I know it's probably not good enough because it doesn't say "L4CX" can talk for all Christians. I share the doctrine that Jesus preached. The other thread is a great example of that.

So, is that good enough for you?

No? Ok :

2 Corinthians 5:16-20. A book written by Paul. A founder of the church and called directly by God to minister the gospel.

Quote:
So from now on we regard no one from a worldly point of view. Though we once regarded Christ in this way, we do so no longer. 17 Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come:[a] The old has gone, the new is here! 18 All this is from God, who reconciled us to himself through Christ and gave us the ministry of reconciliation: 19 that God was reconciling the world to himself in Christ, not counting people’s sins against them. And he has committed to us the message of reconciliation. 20 We are therefore Christ’s ambassadors, as though God were making his appeal through us. We implore you on Christ’s behalf: Be reconciled to God. 21 God made him who had no sin to be sin[b] for us, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God.

I am to make an appeal to this world (Gl4x4 included) the act of God Reconciling himself to us through Christ. I do this by helping people understand what his word says through Apoligetics. Using Context, culture, and a complete understanding of the text to point to Christ and his Reconciling the world.
