Default JK forum please , they have been out for 6 years now !!

Am I the only one who wants a JK forum so I can come on here and buy and sell JK parts and actually be able to drop the parts off or have someone pick them up , I have a half a JK that I dont want to sell any of it because of shipping costs !! Plus I would like to be able to come on here if I have questions instead of going on sights that are based out of California !! I love this sight but its all CJ's YJ's & TJ's !! We need a JK forum Please , I know I cant be the only one in Michigan wheeling a JK !?

Yes, this is where I am confused.

There are currently no dedicated forums to selling anything specific jeep model here.

This.

There also isn't a Silverado, S10, Blazer, F250, F150, Ranger, etc... forum either.

I get what you are saying though...

But I don't really see how it could be broken down that specific and not end up with everyone wanting some sort of sub forum.

I've only saw a handful of people on here post anything JK related for sale or wheeling wise.

I usually just hit up JK Owners or JK Forum when I'm looking for stuff.

I think what would work even better is if people made better use of the thread prefix tags...but yeah, we know how good people are at using nsfw tags too...

Ok I see what your saying , I just meant that the XJ's CJ's YJ's & TJ's are more common and alot of parts can be swapped to work with most of the older models !!
And it dont matter what kind of forum it is for JK's , they can all be rolled into one , I didnt mean I wanted it to hog the board !! It would just be easier to have a JK forum for us with JK's thats all !!

I am a member of both JK Owners & JK forum , but I want to stay dedicated to this sight , and its very hard to ship bumpers and skid plates or anything with any size or weight to the people who need them !! You end up spending more in shipping the what you sell or buy the part for , I would just like to sell it and drop it off or have it picked up , for example I just spent 80 dollars to ship a drive shaft !! This is just a suggestion for the board thats all , and I really think it would catch on quickly !!

I don't get it. How about a stovebolt forum while we are at it.

I get what you are saying. Its not worth posting large things like that because people will ask if you ship, you say yes, you get a quote, they say fukc you, you wasted time...

I bought a set of Rubi rockers for my JK from a guy out west. I paid $150. He paid shipping. I think he ended up putting like $30 in his pocket...

I am a member on several different forums, and some have so many sub-categories they are near impossible to navigate. I've felt for a long time that this is one of the best designed sites out there. I've also noticed that the sites with lots of sub-forums end up with lots of re-posts, mostly when people are trying to sell stuff or ask tech questions. The thinking goes "Well, I had no luck in X forum, so I guess I'll try in Y forum". And sub-catergories often go stale and un-used. Oftentimes tech questions about a certain make/model can be answered by folks who have never owned said make and model, so for example a CJ guy may never read the JK section, but if your tech question is posted in a general tech section, the CJ guy with knowledge may stumble upon your post and be able to help.

As for selling and shipping stuff, I completely understand your frustration on shipping large parts, we do have a catergory for parts transfer and delivery here that works quite well. (FREE PLUG) I personally saw such a need and started a nationwide transport and delivery service for such needs. I give free quotes and don't need things packaged a certain way.

I'm not against a JK specific forum, but my feeling is that at this time such a forum would only do you dis-service. Just my 2 cents.
