The straight down the hill runs would be boring as hell. Gotta have turns in it like the first run.

I would pay, if I could pick someone other then me to go in it. Would "against their will" be a problem?

Looks like something that would be fun for a younger croud then me.

How long would a run be?
I wouldn't pay more than $8 to just roll down a hill.

Agreed.

Although is 8 bucks a pop worth the amount of puke he is going to have to hose out of the thing on a daily basis?

I honestly don't see those things being a real business on their own. Maybe something to augment the zip line things at the park, or an attraction at a haunted house, or apple orchard, etc...

But I honestly don't ever see myself saying, "Hmmm...what to do today...what to do...I know, lets go Zorbing at Ron's place!"

What I could see though is seeing one of those at a place I already am and thinking why not give it a shot.

Just a couple suggestions :)

That is just it. The puke factor. If you get caught with the ball rolling youre fucked. It is a great spectator ride

I'd wheel it...or roll it, or whatever.

The runs average 500 foot. Most places I have looked at are $30 + for 1 run.
I have to look into Operating cost as a whole. looks like it takes 4 -5 people to run . Plus a transport rig for quest and ball recovery.
I have seen ball recovery from a trailer . a jeep with a rigging to push the ball back up , a flat bed truck and a conveyor. I was thinking a front wheel drive station wagon with the back cut off and a cradle put on. IF I can get a rolling run then the better the chance to get better charge. If straight runs then $10 for one and $15 for 2 would hopefully make the bills. I just need to look for the right area to do it.

I agree with almost everyone. It looks pretty lame, but why not take it to the next level? Fast, big open hill with some reasonble drops, jumps, etc scattered about. Both sides of the hill are lined with banking or something. It would have to be a pretty steep hill, which I know means a short run, but thats what you got to work with. Recovery could be a simple rope tow run off a gas motor (would cost less than a car). Plan on changing the water every time and there might be other red tape like cleaning them between each run or something. I know I plan on pissing in one the first chance I get. I dont care whos it is. It would have to be pretty exciting for me to even want to do it even once.

How about planning the run across / along some of the zip line areas - you could get more takers if you introduced the possibility of booting one of those Zorbs while zipping down a run.

Run them down 2 or more at a time so you can run into each other, make it more interesting!

If the bikini girls go down the hill with me, inside the hydra zorb, I would consider paying $30 for two runs, if the runs are setup with corners and such like in the beginning of the video.

Most places want 2 or more per run and advertise as that . But I wouldnt turn down singles if thats all there was. Hydo balls would make the most and the clean up should be alot easier than dry ones. Offering more than 1 style run would be the goal. and depending on the insurance gods on how bumpy it can get,
