Still around i just had them re arch one of my springs.

At $252.00 per spring you are getting very close to what you could have invested in a 3 or 4 ling with coil springs.

absolutely do a military wrap.

been there, done that

can't speak for the shops in your area, but I've dealt with "local" custom leaf spring shops and most of them truly have no idea what they are doing when it comes to offroad performance and what specs are needed.

The cost and shipping are the main reasons I'm leaning towards A B rather than Alcan. As for linking the rear, I would love to do it but its not in the cards right now as it is my dd and school is still going strong right now. After a house and real job it will be the first thing on the list, but until then bolt in leafs will do.

x2, get Alcan's. I have a pair on the back of my truck and they work great. Spend the $500 and have piece of mind knowing they will be awesome for a long time coming. I got the military wrap and bolted keepers with i think a 7 leaf pack or something like that. Nothing but good stuff to say about em

I had a pair a while ago from JR Spring or John R Spring, whatever they are, nice guys and local but was really not impressed with what i ended up getting

Yesterday I ordered a custom set of springs from A B Spring in Grand Rapids. The spring designer who I directly spoke to seemed very knowledgeable and made me feel confident in my decision. The springs will be ready for pick up next week with a possibly for sooner than that.

I ended up with a military wrap and a traction aid, to help prevent axle wrap for $180 per spring.

Ill update this as time goes on with my review of customer service as well as product performance.

We've used AB Spring for a few Jeeps of ours. All I can say, is those guys know what they're talking about. I've had a number of people amazed at how my springs work for what we do with our Jeeps.

How wide were the springs? I'm in need some 8" lift springs and i'm thinking about some 3" wide.

If you don't mind who was the cheapest?

Good to hear the opinions on springs here. I know a guy shopping around for leafs.

On a jeep, I think the best lift spring is a used set from someone going bigger. A buddy of mine did that on his yj, I think it rides better than most yj's I've ridden in.
