Default f-350 tranny job gone wrong.

well i have a 1990 1992 1995 and 1997 ford F-350 depending on which part your looking at lol It started life as a factory option plow truck with a stock style dump box and spent 19 years of its 20 as an owosso county truck and i bought it with 78015 original miles. The body was completly shot exept for the clip so we started cutting the box off its lift supports and pulled the bed liner out and it caved in so i went to lkq and bought a 1995 rust free box then i got a 1992 cab from a buddy of mine and a 1997 front clip from him also so the body is now alot less rusty with a 3inch body lift. Now i am in the process of putting on a custom susspension lift with axle wrap shocks i made.

I assume the truck is the one in your avatar pic? Sounds like a pretty nice project, how about some pics? I think most people would agree that your truck year is the one on your title, no matter what parts are on it. Otherwise my YJ would not only be multiple years, it also be multiple models lol.

when i did the body swap i did 3 inch body lift and now it is getting 7-8 inch lift springs for the front thanks to bigblockford79 then i am getting the spring hangers for the front of the rear axle to rplace the factory swing shackle hanger which will give me about 6.5-7.5 inches so she should be sittin around a whole 10inces level over stock

not much to say is completed but it is getting an overhaul... new exhaust 2.5inch duals with supper 44s swaped out the c6 for a bw 4spd divorsed np205 the suspension is getting some drastic changes as well i am taking the lift springs out on the front and going back to stock springs with a 3inch sky mfg shackle reversal kit and factory ford 3in rear block. i have the 4in shackle flip made for the rear but that will wait until i order some soft rides for the front and all the rear will eventually be replaced by soft rides as well. I will try to get some pics this weekend hopefully will have it run again this weekend not to sure about drive though having troubl finding the hand clutch i was going to order before it was backordered until september

Cool project.

I've ran a similar front setup, but it was an Offroad Unlimited shackle reversal instead of the Sky. Not impressed at all with how it was built. They are both way under-built for a heavy ass 1 ton truck. The material is too thin. My shit got bent too damn easily. I will be building the next one myself out of some heavier stock. It's not that hard to do.

Why are you switching to a 14 bolt? 10.25 is plenty strong enough.

yeah after looking at the kits i changed my mind and me and my cousin are just building it ourselves

and i ditched the 14 bolt idea and got a dana 70 with the gears i want but i definetly dont think the 10.25 is to week it just needs alot of attention to the brakes and a disc kit is just to pricey for them so the 70 seemed to be the best route...

build changed again but we all know how that goes... when i brought it to my cousins it was supposed to get a shackle flip new trans and a divorced 205.
well now 8 months later i changed my mind on almost everything no longer am running leafs up front that will be a coil sprung 3 link/trac bar setup the rear will stay leafs for now until. the trans is now a rebuilt c6 with an oregon performance torque converter(plan to run they're rmvb soon to) changed my exhaust plans to will be running dual 2.5 into one 3in dynomax vt. and i will be running some type of borg doubler set up.
coil buckets need to be reworked yet but its an idea of how they will be.
