My wife had been taking her mom there in preparation for a bone marrow transplant from cancer. She says the place is phenomenal. I interviewed there a couple years ago bit didn't get the job.

Well I went today for all the testing, and these people are awesome. They have so much concern for you.

Met the Dr around 1pm,after having test all morning and he tells me that I need to be back Friday at 6am to have this surgery done. I guess it was worse then we thought.

I must have had 3 different dr's and 4 nurses come in and out, preparing me for the surgery. World Class place and I highly recommend it, if you need to see a specialist

We spent 14 years in and out with our little girl. Seen it grow and grow, The staff was always great. For a teaching hospital even the interns have their shit together, Top notch place, We owe them for giving us 14 years with our child that any other place we would have lost her just after birth.

I've also spent a month or so sitting in the burn unit with my dad several years ago. Unbelievable staff in the burn unit, couldn't ask for nicer people.

We have been taking our daughter there for her epilepsy for over three years now. Shes been over a year without a major seizer, before it was at least one or two times a month. That doesn't sound like a lot but hers are so bad if she has two or three back to back it will stop her heart. There are some pretty smart cookies down there for sure. Yeah, parking is a bitch.

Off I go, Thanks for all the kind words and support. This is the riskiest and longest surgery I will ever have gone into, but it is the best place to do it.

NEVER GIVE UP

The staff at U of M is amazing. In 2008, my mother has an aneurism in her brain and was put on life support. The doctors were very understanding and sympathetic. They were honest and told my family that the most we could hope for was a vegetative state and she would have to stay on life support. We had to make the difficult decision to take her off of life support, and the staff was there with us the entire time.

My son and grandson have both had heart surgery there and they did a wonderful job. It did take them two days to diagnose gas pains in my son after his surgery though.

I am headed there Monday the 12th and Tuesday the 13th for test both days so I can start a new Clinical Trial Phase 1, for my Melonama on Monday the 19th.

If anybody needs to stay over night in Ann Arbor make sure you have U. of M. make overnite reservations for you. I have recently used Candlewood Suites and have been very satisfied with them. They are rated 1st out of 17 in the area and normal rates start at $107.00 a nite and booked thru U. of M. they only charge $39.99 a nite.

Surgery went well, they removed the extra rib in my neck/shoulder area and cut away some muscle.3 hrs under just to do that.

The pain is horriable though, Dilodid(sp) wasnt helping,so they just gave me a huge dose of morphine.

Fullsize, sorry to hear that you didnt get the answer you were looking for. Never give Up
